@  UNSC Spartan-II : (18 July 2018 - 03:25 AM) @Twinreaper Excellent post. :yay:
@  UNSC Spartan-II : (18 July 2018 - 03:24 AM) I say no REQ packs at all, and I'd bet that the majority of the Halo community is against them.
@  UNSC Spartan-II : (18 July 2018 - 03:23 AM) @Minuette That's exactly right, Bungie did it right in Halo 3 by having an unofficial "rarity" system, which anyone could achieve with the right skill and devotion.
@  343iBot : (18 July 2018 - 03:02 AM) Welcome to the forums, rackfinity017! :welcome: View rackfinity017's Profile
@  Twinreaper : (17 July 2018 - 06:36 PM) Otherwise whats the point? Your just spending money to get the items instead of playing your way to them
@  Twinreaper : (17 July 2018 - 06:36 PM) You cant just buy your way to collecting Exotics and or Armor sets
@  Twinreaper : (17 July 2018 - 06:36 PM) Even Destiny got that right by making shaders and ornaments (cosmetic changes) buyable with silver
@  Twinreaper : (17 July 2018 - 06:35 PM) Other than that, all items are debuffed for pvp
@  Twinreaper : (17 July 2018 - 06:35 PM) All these things should only have an impact stat wise during campaign or co-op matchmaking, like Reach's Firefight
@  Twinreaper : (17 July 2018 - 06:34 PM) The specific rad armor or even variant weapons, should be REQ credit earned and or locatable via challenges
@  Twinreaper : (17 July 2018 - 06:33 PM) Thats why REQ packs or at least the paid ones, should only be cosmetic items.
@  Minuette : (17 July 2018 - 05:33 PM) Rather have a credit system than REQ, combined with challenges to complete to get other types of armor. We need that "OMG, he's got Hayabusa, bro!" type situation
@  Twinreaper : (17 July 2018 - 04:31 PM) Warzone should NOT give a clear blatent advantage to anyone based on how much cash they sink into REQ packs. All stat and buffs should be disabled so that player has to rely upon skill
@  Twinreaper : (17 July 2018 - 04:30 PM) You dont have to play a game to understand how it works. with all the media avenues we have today, it's not like it was 20 years ago. I understand how the system works just fine, and it's broken, unbalanced and a blatent cash grab all in the name of p2w
@  Guts : (17 July 2018 - 02:17 PM) The vidmaster challenges could operate alongside the REQ system with absolutely no problem
@  Guts : (17 July 2018 - 02:16 PM) Thats probably the reason why I dont use REQs in Warzone at all. Im so used to running standard loadout weapons. The only time Ive ever thought that Warzone was unfair was when Ive come across 12 man teams that work together. But of course, players who never played the game will never see how the system works
@  Guts : (17 July 2018 - 02:12 PM) Took me a good 7 months before I unlocked a DMR and 3 months to get an SMG
@  Guts : (17 July 2018 - 02:06 PM) "Absolute best luck in the game"
@  Twinreaper : (17 July 2018 - 11:47 AM) Truth be told, I just started recently to notice how bland and plain the skyboxes in Destiny 2 are, because everything else is so beautiful and detailed and expansive that you dont really take notice of the sky.
@  Twinreaper : (17 July 2018 - 11:46 AM) You can only look out into skyboxes so much...

The Halo Archive. The center for Halo Universe and lore discussion new and old. The Staff on the Halo Archive are the most knowledgeable individuals on the Haloverse outside of the team at 343 Industries themselves. Not only does it have homegrown well-informed members but it also contains Halo theorists and admins from Halopedia. The Halo Archive is where you want to be to discuss the upcoming Mythos or any novel or game on an in-game universe level.

The Halo Archive is not only a forum. The Halo Archive is quite literally what its name implies. It's a catalog of Halo blogs by some of the best authors like DilDev, Anton, and Chronarch, news, information, and posts. Above you can see the directory of the site on the home page.

Member Structure

gallery_19087_803_10553.jpg

There are no ranks on the Halo Archive but rather member rates. The rates are equal but members are assigned to them based on whether they spend more time talking in on-topic Halo threads or off-topic. Outside of Staff positions there are 4 main rates: Lifeworkers, Warriors, Builders, and Miners. Builders have more of a presence in Halo-related discussions. Lifeworkers can take part in on-topic discussions but tend to participate more outside of them. Warriors have more of an online presence, and I have no idea how Miners get their rate honestly but they're gold and it's cool. Your rate actually determines how your page looks on the Archive which I thought was really cool.  As you can see, I used to be a Lifeworker and my version of the site appears green whereas Builders would have purple highlights and Warriors have orange.

Bacon Beacon

The Archive Beacon is a tri-weekly state of the site address composed mainly by one appointed Staff member and added on by several other Staffers. It points out hot threads on and off the topic of Halo, new and upcoming site additions or changes, and, my favorite, Staff comments. Check out the latest Archive Beacon here
