Visor customization

Anyone else like the idea of being able to unlock or even have the option right away to have a color wheel for your visor to make it any color you want instead of having preset colors/shades? Maybe even be able to change the color of our HUD depending on the color of our visor. I'd love to have this as an option.

I think everyone would love that, mostly because it gives you all the available options, and you will be able to pick a color that matches you the best. Of course the visor is also the only part of your armor color that stays the same even on Color designated teams. I always hated how Jorge's color visor was unobtainable in Reach. So yes, I'd like to see this added.

Idk about Halo 5 since we've already seen their customization, obviously though it's probably changed since the BETA so I don't know what we'll see.

But I could see 343 locking parts of the color wheel, because they would like players to try to obtain them rather then get them for free.

I don't really see the reason they even have so many colors for your armor when the only time you even get to really see it, is during FFA game types. When 90% of the games you play are team based. I doubt something like this would ever be implemented though which sucks.

This would be a great thing to have. As always, the more custimization the better. Although about the team colors, I think they could just do like in cod and have different color nametags. It doesn't seem to mess up cod gameplay, and it would allow you to always have your armor colors.

Well weapon skins already exist in Halo 4. A boost in numbers of those with different specializations will be in H5 I'm guessing.

As for armors, I think it'd be cool if H5 offered as much as customize options as Reach had. Plus with the new armor and designs, this game will truly be the best of the best. However, right now that's all just hype. We'll have to wait and see.

Visor customization - As cool as it sounds I don't think this is a possibilty, since the Beta's already shown Midnight, Recruit, Frost and more Visor Color presets. Cool idea though.

I feel as though armor needs to be unlocked, not purchased. The same goes for visor colors.

Visor's being unlocked at a certain Rank, yes. Armor being unlocked at a certain Rank, yes. But IF the armor had some sort of ability upon unlocking it, then I'd rather use credits to get it than have it be free..just my opinion on the matter at hand.

I don't believe the OP is referring to visor color as in the helmet visor seen in the 3rd person model.  I believe he/she is referring to the V.I.S.O.R. part of the game, or HUD as we call it.  If I am correct in assuming this, I don't see the harm in allowing the customization of the HUD colors.  If anything, the basic color works great and some colors could potentially inhibit informational HUD widgets.

I know you can change the color of the HUD/Pip-Boy on Bethesda's Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. Personally I love these options and that's what I would like to see. No harm in performance or gameplay, and it's very neat. I'm up for The coloring and maybe the design of the Heads-Up-Display itself.

Well depending on the title and how the interface widgets work, HUD rearranging may or may not work.  In Halo specifically if I remember my tag dependency correctly, the HUD for the multiplayer characters are stored in shared.map and campaign in campaign.map.  The edits we make to our character via the menu come from the mainmenu.  These edits are float values that are stored as an override for the ones normally present when mainmenu loads.  Editing of the Shared.map values is not occuring in any way during anything present in editing player references.

I will admit though, it would be nice to be able to place the radar, health and other functions on different tangent spaces on the HUD interface.  For some reason, I'm inclined to like having radar on the bottom right, and my health bar vertical along the left screen quadrant.
