Destiny players and fans can look forward to their second expansion pack as the release date has been announced by Activision.

The second release of a major addition to the popular game Destiny, House of Wolves, will be released to all platforms nearly six months after the release first of the addition called The Dark Below.

The release date announced by Activision has been set on the 19th of May and came with a trailer that will be released on 6PM UK time.

Take a look at the trailer down here:

"The Queen's Fallen have purchased their freedom with Awoken blood. Hunt down the traitors and your debt to the Queen will be paid."

~DLC description

The DLC is expected to have a similair amount of content as the Dark Below expansion which is new story missions, a new Raid, a new Strike and 3 new multiplayer maps. Along with this will come "Hundreds" of new weapons and gear, a higher level Strike playlist (level 28) and a new level cap for the weekly Nightfall Strike (Level 32).

The new Raid is rumoured to be set in The Reef area which has only showed up once in the main story of the game and has been locked ever since.

The DLC will cost around $20 or free of charge if you've bought the Season Pass.

I saw the post from the Facebook page literally five minutes ago, my reaction was to try to beat the news group to writing this up... Looks like I failed... Thanks P33nut <_<

In any case. Let me throw a Rick Flare in here... "WOO!!" DLC FOR DESTINY! I will now NOT BE BORED!!!! NEW THINGS TO DO!!!!

I prefer the look and theme of House of Wolves over Crota's End. Hopefully the strike won't be everyone hiding in a doorway and the new raid will be less of a buggy mess than Crota was.

Thanks P33nut for ruining my dream of bringing Destiny news to the forum >_<

I honestly became very bored with Destiny after a while. The game become so repetitive after a while of playing, I just got bored on the worlds. Then with the expansion, I thought it was going to get better, it did, but then sort of didn't. For me, I'm excited for this to come out, but not sure how much I'll love it. Thanks for the post!

"House of Wolves will not have a Raid activity. We didn't make this decision lightly. Our team has been humbled by the reception of Raids in Destiny and we are creating a new Raid for a release later this year." - Deej

What the hell are we meant to do, with only two Raids Bungie? That's pathetically bad.

I'm a bit disappointed after reading that. So the way I see it, it's going to be 3 new boring story missions, and another Archon Priest strike. No Raid? Are you kidding me right now? So am I just supposed to waste more time with Crota? I'm tired of him.

This is a downright fail at an expansion.

Destiny is an MMO and needs an MMO's worth of content. A whole new planet to explore, or two.

seven new strikes and 3 or 4 new Raids.

2 new patrol sections, 7 or 8 new Crucible maps etc.

This expansion should come with much more content that it is, nuff said! :)
