I didn't pay $60 to play a sloppy Beta

I'd like to start by saying I think it's pretty obvious that 343 knows where they stand judging by the fact that they still haven't mustered the courage to create a contact e-mail or phone number for complaints or suggestions. Either that or they are beyond woefully ignorant which I guess would explain the current reputation of the company.

Anyways, I am posting to see if I could get someone's help in providing me with some sort of contact information of an employee at 343 that I can talk to in regards to getting my money back. As the title says, I did not pay $60 to play a very poorly done Beta that doesn't even work online. I didn't pay $60 for the chance to sit and watch an update screen once a week. It truly is beyond me that this company has no problem taking advantage of all of these loyal Halo players only to follow up with a "sorry, we're working on it". Every time you come up with another embarrassingly half hearted response to this awful product, you're giving the Halo community a collective twist. Is that what you want to be known for, 343? Some sort of evil corporate? I know I certainly wouldn't want to tell my kids.

I wish I could come here to say I'm sticking it out etc etc but I'm passed that. 4 months, nothing has changed. It's a joke of a product. There is nothing else to say. You have effectively ruined your name in the gaming business. I will not be buying Halo 5 if 343 is involved with it.

But as mentioned, could someone please provide me with a name I could get in touch with so I can get my money back? This certainly isn't an unreasonable request as I am not getting what I paid for.

Thanks!

Like BATMAN said, go to Halo Waypoint and a member of 343i might see it. If you want your money back, go to the store and return MCC because that's where you download the beta right? And 343 was nice enough to have the update along with MCC. They didn't expect this many problems, so that's not their fault, though the fact that it's still not fixed after 4 months is, so we hope that they get on it, and a "HUGE" update is coming that's supposed to fix MCC, so let's hope that's the case.

No you did pay 60 dollars for a sloppy beta.

You paid 60 dollars for the Mcc and a sloppy beta. :D

Honestly I totally agree with you Mcc unacceptable, and besides this "big update" was supposed to come two months ago if I remember correctly.

Telling us it should all be fixed soon does not help the game should have been working at launch!

Day one server issues no problem but people still unable to play four months down the line unacceptable.

Im sure Bf4 had a better launch, the game was really buggy, but at least you could play it.

"The game should've been working at launch" - There's your problem, you expect a huge project with tons of risks involved, like the MCC, to be completely perfect. You're only seeing it in black and white, you're not taking the whole thing into consideration. Porting difficulties, getting all 4 games from two different systems to work on a newer system, being rushed by Microsoft, etcetera. You're expecting a HUGE project like this to be perfect. I'm sorry, but you've got very unrealistic expectations. "Day one server issues no problem but people still unable to play four months down the line unacceptable." - I'm able to play it just fine and so are a lot of other people, you act like it's completely unplayable like it was at release. It's MUCH better than it was then, your post implies that nothing has changed at all. There have been worse launches. Diablo III PC anyone?

Nobody expected the game to be perfect. People were already more than happy for the MCC to be made.

But this launch makes us feel like 343 killed their quality assurance team or locked them up in a room and never let them out or something.

Taking the whole thing into account they could've delayed it and told us the game simply wasn't up to standards. Even if the matchmaking systems were untested - which they shouldn't have been - and so the 'issues' faced were unexpected, all the system bugs and glitches simply should have been squashed prior to launch.

" I'm able to play it just fine and so are a lot of other people, you act like it's completely unplayable like it was at release. " <--- Says you. It works for you doesn't mean it works for others,

Honestly, they've created an achievement for people who have stuck with the game and all it's glitches; that achievement is bugged. lol

EDIT: @OP - Try Xbox Support. I read somewhere that a person got a full refund for the game after explaining his views on how the MCC is just rubbish.

"Taking the whole thing into account they could've delayed it and told us the game simply wasn't up to standards." - That's one of the problems though; Microsoft rushed them, so it's not entirely 343's fault. But with that said, even if the game was delayed how were they supposed to know that there were matchmaking problems? Is there really any internal way of testing matchmaking? Personally, I think they should've had a Beta for the MCC. Sure it would've been bugged as hell and Matchmaking wouldn't have worked but this would allow 343i to figure out the flaws before release and such is the purpose of a Beta. People wouldn't have been as mad if these problems were in the Beta and not in the full game. If they would've had a Beta and delayed the game, that could've worked but there's also the factor of rushed releasing; would MS have allowed them to delay the game?

lol Honestly, after playing matchmaking twice when it started working, I just resorted to playing the campaign. The campaign is much more enjoyable for me. That's besides the point. If you're dissatisfied with your purchase, sell the damn game, That's all we can say. Go play Call of Duty. I've enjoyed the new one. Go play it. Why are you complaining to us? What... do you wanna get in contact with a developer because your-highness had a bad experience?

 haaaaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaa

Oh god, I'm laughing so hard I'm crying

this is the most naive thing I've every read! xD

I mean, it's like you forgot that 343i works directly for M$  :hrhr:

343i - "Oh hey Microsoft, I know you gave us this deadline and everything, but we've noticed some game breaking bugs we need to iron out. Can we delay the launch?"

M$ - "Hmm... Nah."

343i - "But please Microsoft, the fans of the Halo series are going to be crushed unless you let us fix this."

M$ - "They were fine with Halo 2, they'll be fine with this. Hey, there's even sort of a pattern here. Halo 2, Bungie's second major Halo release was broken, and now your's is too!"

Its like Ms is trying to screw over Halo.....

343s creditability took a huge downturn with Halo 4 arguably.

Mcc was a chance at redemption with Halo 5 being the thing that finally proves themselves. :)

But Mcc was a flop.....

So what if it makes Ms money now, in the long run who knows? will it be worse, possibly.

Point is: If Mcc launched ( decently bug free, I would still expect some issues ) then it would have given 343 creditability and restored hope in people that they can live up to the previous games legacy.

Lets just hope Halo 5 launches okay.
