Territories in Skyward???

Is there a way to create a custom Territories game to be used in Skyward? It only allows Slayer, Juggernaut, and Infection????

Typically in forge mode, you have to set the gametype from Basic Editing to the gametype you want to build a map for. So if you want to forge a Territories map in Skyward, you have to pick Territories before you start building. You can build the basic structure of your map in Basic Editing mode if you want, but then you would have to switch to Territories later to add specific objective pieces. If you want to create a custom Territories gametype, you have to adjust the settings in custom games and save them as a new gametype.

This doesn't seem to be working. There are no "Save This Gametype" options both after selecting territories in Forge Editor nor during the build.

Now if you go to a different map you can choose to save a tweaked gametype there however there doesn't seem to be anyway to create a Territories Gametype in Skyward.....can someone please confirm this or try a different route?

To create a new gametype, you need to adjust settings for the particular gametype in custom games, not in forge. Selecting a gametype in forge only enables gametype specific pieces to appear. But if Territories does not work at all in Skyward, then there may be a glitch. I'd investigate the matter myself, but I don't have an Xbox One or the MCC at the moment! :( I'll put the question out there and see if someone who has the MCC can look into this.

Alright, Maestro has been spot on.

Stat by going into forge and making part of your map, save it. For this example, we name it "test map." Exit the map.

In a custom games lobby, select the gametype to Territories and the map "test map". You should get a message claiming "incompatible gametype." Go into the gametype, edit some options. and save it using (click in on the right stick). The options don't matter, as you can change it to whatever you want after forging.

Now, go into forge lobby, select that gametype, on "test map", and go into the game. You should be able to place the objectives and change the gametype labels for them to territory labels.

I've tried this a thousand different ways but to no avail.

I understand this is HOW it's suppose to be done, but you cannot do it this way. I REALLY need SOMEONE to boot up Halo 2 Anniversary and ACTUALLY create a territories gametype on Skyward

This HAS to be a glitch because you CANNOT create a custom game for ANYTHING other than Slayer, Juggernaut, or Infection...

I know you can create gametypes and play them. It sounds like you are not doing it properly.

How to create a gametype is discussed in the video.
