Limpo Posted August 15, 2014 Report Share Posted August 15, 2014 (edited) I was watching some footage from Halo 2:A from gamescom and I noticed that the sniper headshot medal doesn't show up when someone gets a HS with the sniper. Exactly like Halo 4. I don't like that and I have alot of friends who doesn't either. Matter of fact I can't recal anyone who doesn't like that medal. I couldn't understand why it was taken away in the firstplace. The snipermedal in Halo 4 doesn't have any real purpose other than telling you that you killed someone with the sniper (which you probably know cuz you are holding it...) With that said I would love if we got a new sound effect when we get a headshot in multiplayer. Something like the sound of glass shattering from the visor or a skull cracking. The sound of the skull breaking and grey matter on the wall behind it. To the OP: I really do not care for medals in Halo I just want to hear the announcer go: Headshot. Corey Weberling Posted August 18, 2014 Report Share Posted August 18, 2014 I definitely want it back. Makes sniping a lot more fun.....and its actually a good marker of skill with the sniper. Getting a medal simple for getting a kill with a sniper is retarded. It's a power weapon....of course it's easy to get kills with. It actually takes skill to hit headshots. For me medals are supposed to be intended for skillful kills like headshots or kills worth notifying like assists. In Halo 4 I had the feeling that you could get a medal for literally anything and everything which kinda takes away the fun in earning them. Generic kill shouldn't be a medal. The auto-aim assist or whatever is aweful, I feel like I have have to fight it. Lag is also terrible in this game, (with a good connection).
