  1. 1. What are your favorite mission(s)?

    • The Heretic - For failure such as this, no punishment is too great. (cutscene; unplayable... Is the cutscene so enjoyable that you picked it?)

    • The Armory - Suit up, prepare for battle. (tutorial. I guess you enjoy walking around one room and an elevator.)
      0
    • Cairo Station - Defend the station's MAC gun from Covenant boarders.

With Halo 2: Anniversary (and MCC) coming out this November, I thought we could look back and think of our very favorite missions from the 15(13) mission long campaign of Halo 2. Halo 2's campaign offered some very fun moments, and with it some great memories. What missions did you find the most enjoyable, had the greatest moments, or were just plain fun and became your favorites?

For me, I would vote for the two missions: High Charity and Metropolis.

High Charity was one of my favorites because of the sheer chaos of the entire mission. Brutes, Elites, Flood, and other Covenant troops all battling it out as the Great Schism of the Covenant happens right before your eyes. The chaos gives way to very fun battles to watch, and a mesh of fights you can join into yourself and kick some Covenant butt.

Metropolis is loved by me for about a couple things. Scarab Gun, The fight on top of the scarab, Scorpion, and loads of other vehicular man(alien)slaughter events.

A close second to these two would be Uprising. Killing Monkeys was never so much fun...

I liked metropolis too. Fighting in cities always seemed to be my favorite kind of level. That's exactly why i loved Halo 3: ODST, the game that takes place right before halo 2..... I also liked Cairo station. It seems to be a repetitive theme that UNSC bases or ships always get attacked. For example, first mission in Halo: CE. Or the third mission in Halo 2.

Oh man I loved Cairo Station. It was a perfect start to the game

for me, with plenty of elites to test out your weapons on! Coming

at a close 2nd is the Oracle. That mission was very interesting,

especially since its one of the first missions in any Halo EVER

where you get to play as an elite!

High Charity. Can't count how many times I played that mission just to get to the end when you walk into the room and have to kill a bunch of Elites and like 3 hunters. I always walked in there with a fuel rod and rocket launcher and blew the SOBs up to the song that's played when you enter. SO BADASS! :chaingun:

Quarantine Zone! I love that mission! Not only because the Arbiter missions are amongst my top favs, but also due to its insane fun factor. Nothing beats grabbing a scorpion and tearing through the chaotic crossfire of Flood and Forerunner forces. I enjoy the wrecked and desolate atmosphere, the completely crumbling appearance pleases me to no end... And with updated graphics, who knows how amazing it'll look!

Sacred Icon is an extremely close second, fun cleaning up flood combat forms with the pistol and BR. ^_^

If metropolis is the mission with  the scarab than that one is mine (been a while since I played it) the moment you attack the scarab,  the rif starts playing, the music swells up and I have never felt so badass before, the mjolnir mix of Halo 2 has been my favorite Halo song of all time.
