Do NOT Buy the Deluxe Edition of Battlefield Hardline!

Note: I don't hate the Battlefield franchise or Hardline itself, but this 'Deluxe' Edition is trying to fool you.

Now, from here on in, I've decided to call it by what it is, Battlefield Hardline 'Fraud' Edition. I'd first like you to see GameStop's pre-order descriptions for the regular game. Here you go.

  • Pre-Order Battlefield Hardline and receive the GameStop Exclusive Money Clip!

Versatility Battlepack - Featuring a highly versatile assault rifle, a unique camo skin for your weapons, and a Teamplay Boost

Next, the Fraud Edition's pre-order description.

*While Supplies Last

  • Precision Battlepack - Featuring one of the most accurate assault rifles, a unique camo skin for your weapons, and a Teamplay Boost
  • Suppression Battlepack - featuring an assault rifle with the largest magazine capacity, a unique camo skin for your weapons, and a Teamplay Boost
  • Versatility Battlepack - featuring a highly versatile assault rifle, a unique camo skin for your weapons, and a Teamplay Boost

Now, text in Orange is your regular average joe pre-order bonus, yadayada that's cool and all, whatever. What is in Cyan is the extra in-game bonus shared between both, just as the Orange is. Finally, the Lime is what the fraud has to offer YOU. Want to know the price of the two?

REGULAR EDITION: $59.99 (+Respective Taxes)

DELUXE EDITION: $69.99 (+Respective Taxes)

... So an extra $10 for two small battlepacks... TWO BATTLEPACKS = $10... HELL SOME INDIE GAMES COST LESS AND INCLUDE MORE! So on top of PREMIUM (which knowing EA, will come) you're paying $120 for this 'Fraud' edition... As I said avoid this with your life, and share this info to anyone interested in Hardline, thanks.

I've created a small comparison image below just for more ease on your eyes.

Well depends. If the weapons and skins that are featured in the Battlepacks are not obtainable any other way it's still exclusive. Although you are indeed right about the price. $10 is way too much!

Is this not to be expected for $A

I don't buy special editions / collectors editions anymore they are normally a rip off like 60 pounds more for a few stickers. :)

I only buy It on special occasions when I am actually saving money.... I have only ever brought 2 collectors editions.

Wow, this just proves that all £A want is our money, infact I'm surprised that '£A' isn't their logo. That's probably what the chief exec's of the company see when they look at the logo anyway. I actually feel really sorry for the people that have bought this crap already. £5.88 ($10.00) for two guns and some skins that you'll probably unlock later on in the game, wow, just just wow!
