343 Industries, THANK YOU

Recommended Posts

I personally have not played xbox in years, but the reboot of Halo 2 Multiplayer may bring me back and I just wanted to thank you guys for doing this. There are many people like myself who used to play non stop, but with every game going the way of Call of Duty with special perks and moves I have been pushed away from many of these online experiences which includes the newer halo's. Halo to me doesn't have jetpacks and stuff like that, which is why I WILL be buying the Master Chief Collection to play Halo 2 again, but I most likely wont be buying Halo 5 for that very reason, If I want perks and special skills and loadouts I will play Call of Duty.

Please continue on the tradition of Halo CE and Halo 2's multiplayer experiences.

Thank You,

InfiniteGrim

Hey OP, just so you know Halo 5 might just suprise you as well as myself. Frank confirmed that there won't be armor abilities like Halo Reach and Halo 4. That alone will reduce the Call of Duty loadout feeling you might get.

Are you sure? During the presentation they specifically said new "spartan abilities" for Halo 5 Guardians. The Halo 5 Beta stuff starts at 8:20. I have a feeling armor abilities just won't be in the same form as we remember, but something more physical, such as just dashes, rolls, sprints, and larger jumps.

All of the abilities, especially the roll/dash/fly are what really annoy me. I also do not like the starting loadouts. Everyone spawns with the same simple guns and if you want better, you fight for it.  Depending the game type the starting guns can change.

You can argue with me all day that that is not how people want it, but lets face it Halo multiplayer isn't the big name in the business anymore, and people wonder why it isn't as popular as it used to be with Halo 2 and the beginning of Halo 3. I think these loadouts and abilities are part of the problem. Seems like all the games are trying to mimic Call of Duty. I will admit, after Reach I thought Halo Multiplayer was a lost cause, but Halo 4 was refreshing, but still not Halo 2.

This article touches on the issues the newer Halo's have had with multiplayer...
