What if this new guy in halo 5 (agent clark) is searching for master chief? In sum halo 5 trailers master chief is somewhere in a desert searching for cortana most likley. In the other trailers arbitar is telling this agent clark that he trust him in finding chief that the universe depends on him and that the seeds of the future are in chiefs past what if ther trying to rebuild spartens for a new war? What if arbiters home planet was attacked and they need more spartens to help? And that is what halo 5 in my opinion should be based on. Agent clark (new guy) looking for chief to gather data only he knows and for his help to help save arbitars home planetc:

Agent clark (new guy) looking for chief to gather data only he knows and for his help to help save arbitars home planet.

First of all it is agent Locke
Second of all, we need to first go to the origin of the e3 2013 trailer. How did Chief get here? We all know at the end of halo 4, Chief returned to earth, had his armor stripped and Cortana left Chief for good. What if he snuck out of the infinity to look for any ways to find Cortana again, find a source which brings him closer to regain Cortana or went to find Halsey to rebuild Cortana. He wears a robe(probably so he doesn't get identified by any Storm Covenant, UNSC looking for him or Prometheans). He also has a visible crack on his visor which may or may not be explained in the halo escalation series(you should check that out). The Promethean bird suddenly stands in Chief's way. As the hood of his robe gets blown of by the Promethean's activation protocol, Chief clutches onto Cortana's chip(which has been made into a bracelet). This probably means he has found the source or a clue of Cortana's return. This is where Agent Locke comes in. If you Look at the first announced cover art for Gaurdians there is a few things that we should know about Locke. First of all he has an O.N.I symbol on his armor. This tells you he is sent to search for Chief or kill him. Also Locke is the main character of Halo Nightfall, which will give you more clues about the story of Guardians. Finally he is sent by the Arbiter, who once formed an alliance with Chief. In the Halo MMC trailer he told Locke that the universe depends on him and to know him he needs to look back at his previous accomplishments. So there you have it. Feedback to your reply and more possible theories.

What if that promethean bird thing has someone on board that can help? Maybe that bird is what cheif is specifically looking for. Maybe the librarian left somthing there or maybe its just an enemy standing in chiefs way? I just think the best theory is that arbiter and oni both sent locke to search for chief to asl for help for who knows what situation. Arbiter dosnt ask alot if hes asking for chief then somthing must be happening

You could be on to something. What if the librarian left Chief a key component that could either help reincarnate Cortana or give Chief a tactical advantage on anything he may need for a special occasion in his mysterious journey.

I remember from the trailer his armor was broken, so maybe he will find someone to help him out in the story. Oh, and the Promethean returning somehow.

I think the War Sphinx (not bird, other people)-_- is like some sort of promethean boss that you have to defeat in the last campaign mission to "win". About the Arbiter, I think maybe O.N.I. sent Agent Locke to the Arbiter so he can get info to find Chief to help on a big war because in the trailer the Arbiter says, "I tell you this, not because I trust you, but because all our lives are at stake." Something like that.

Yeup and in the trailer agent locke isnt on earth. And u can see arbitar in his visor. Im guessing ther both on arbitars planet. And in one of the halo comics the very last one chief stabs the didact in the eye and the didiact raises chief by his helmet and ends ther. And in the halo 5 trailer chief has a crackd visor? That could be why hi armor is messd up. Maybe he got ina fight with the didiact before he went rogue.

I'm sure he's says ' The key to our future lies in his past.'  There's something about halo 2. The Librarian upscaled his body or evolved him but maybe she had implanted a code in our genome that once coaxed out can make us immune to the flood, there wasn't enough time or the adequate population numbers to make it effective. The flood had taken too much of the galaxy so she decided to let it ride until someone would come a long. I think he's being drawn on by the gene song. he needs to be reworked to be able to face the Didact and whatever comes after him. Installation 05? is there anything on it that could be a link?

She did say to him in H4 ' Even your ancilla Cortana '

I'm sure I'm not the only one that notices that the silver spartan's armor configuration/design shares much resemblance with the spartan IV configuration/design. I think it's fairly safe to speculate that the spartan is a spartan IV. That, along with Noble six's death scene, can most likely rule out the possibility that Noble six is the hidden silver spartan.

Additionally, I believe John is in fact looking for Mendicant Bias. Clearly, the design of human AI's is very similar to the design of forerunner ancillas. (I, for one, believe this is no coincidence, especially considering the librarian's impact on humanity). With that in mind, I think John may also know that. In his knowledge, he may believe that he can transfer Mendicant Bias onto Cortana's chip. Keeping it to himself, perhaps, so no one else may have access to it.

The Spartan is Jameson Locke. He Is a Spartan IV, and will be the main character in Halo Nightfall. He will also be playable in Halo 5 Guardians.

I had a theory on how the Flood might return in Halo 5 in the past involving Installation 07, the UNSC Infinity, and the Janus Key, but it was debunked when a forum ARG on Waypoint named "Catalog" stated that Installation 07 had been discovered and presumably glassed by Sangheili in 2557/2558. However, even if untrue, I'm still going to share it.

In essence, this is a worst-case scenario. Primordium stated (or at least hinted) that Installation 07 had a multitude of Protograveminds enclosed within Flood Research Facilities. With a hundred thousand years of a slowly deteriorating monitor being the only thing preventing them from escaping containment, by 2558, it's very likely that those containment protocols had long been violated and that the Flood have completely overran the ring with a number of Protograveminds merging into a Gravemind. Installation 05 on steroids.

In either Halo 4 or The Thursday War (I can't remember which one), we learned that one of the UNSC Infinity's missions is to locate the remaining Halo rings an establih permenant facilities near them to study them for decommission. Being the only remaining Halo from the original twelve, Installation 07 is easily among the most important to be located.

Aside from Master Chief wandering around what's probably the Lesser Ark to find Mendicant Bias, Halo 5's story will likely follow the Janus Key conflict. I imagine that Locke's career as an asset acquisition specialist will indicate that finding MC isn't his only task, but also getting the other half of the Janus Key from Jul and Halsey.

If Locke succeeds in this task, and both halves of the Janus Key are put into the hands of the UNSC/ONI, not only will the Forerunner technology located by it likely be used to oppress any non-humans and cause the galaxy to follow the same path as the Forerunners, but Installation 07 will probably be the first stop for Infinity now that the location of all of the rings are found.

And when Infinity proceeds to set up a permenant facility on/near Installation 07, the Flood that have overran the ring in an outbreak worse than Delta Halo, not only will the UNSC's greatest starship ever created be the home of a freshly fused Gravemind, but the Flood would now have a perfect and almost unstoppable way of spreading from world to world.

The theory may be untrue now that we know that 07 is no longer a threat, but it's still fun to imagine.

In Halo Cryptum, Bornstellar and Chaukas are on the planet Earth. They arrive at Djmonkin Creator. There they come upon a Cryptum surrounded by man war sphinxes. It is possible in the Halo 5 trailer that master chief has found one. Here is the description o a war sphinx "The War Sphinxes were described as being ten meters high and twenty long, with an elongated tail that provided lift and power. From the "tail" rose a large rounded torso with a command cabin perched on top. The command cabin was designed to resemble a Forerunner face, with features arranged in an angry or stern expression and two viewports serving as "eyes". They also had limbs, with joints of hard light.[3] Much like Onyx Sentinels, two sphinxes could also merge to create a larger unit, which still retained a similar "face" at the forward surface.[4] War sphinxes were programmed to contain samples of their wearer's mental patterns and personalities before they are killed in battle. These preserved personalities were less realistic or complete than Durances, but could still be studied by a commander to gain useful information. The Didact kept the final impressions of his children, who were killed in battle, within their war sphinxes.[1]" That Description perfectly fits what the Chief saw. So I ask, is it possible he has found one?

Chief is not on Sanghelios. And it was not confirmed that chief saw a War Sphinx. And also why would be be looking for Mendicant Bias? He was never told about his existence and what would he even need him for?

I think the general consensus is that he came face to face with a War Sphinx, or that other one that's supposedly more advanced. But we don't know for sure. 343i might have created an entirely new Construct, and we wouldn't know until more info would be released.

In the MCC Trailer Locke meets with the Arbiter on a desert-like world, or landscape. Sanghelios has a yellow-red-ish hue to the atmosphere, like Halopedia says "Sanghelios' sky varies in hue from a 'BRIGHT YELLOW' to a blood red, due to large amounts of suspended particles in the upper atmosphere".

Prepare for an info drop:

Not a theory but a REALLY RADICAL suggestion!!!!!

Does anyone remember the game HAVEN: CALL OF THE KING ON PS2??
This game blew my sports sock off. Not the story as such, but the gameplay. The ability to, commandeer, a spaceship or jet and speed through that planets atmosphere and into the dense and quite fascinating blackness of space and before you can say "Oh.This.Is.Beautiful" you're locked in a epic space battle with several fighters, now this is when the game has you immersed. Speeding, dodging, diving, while still adulating the planet you've just left.... *sigh* such memories.
Anyway, after that battle, you punch in your destination and (star wars mode) you zap into warp speed!
A minute later or less later, you arrive at a planet that makes the last one you just left look like a tennis ball, and you take the helm of your star fighter and accelerate through the planets atmosphere as your fighter slightly burns along the way and land... This is where I said "I wanna go again!"

Now Halo, and particularly, Xbox One, need to Fully Utilise these so called new generation consoles and fully expand Halos universe and make us die hard fans, never wanna let go!
I liked the permanent upgrade of sprint in Halo 4, the weapons and new enemies, to a degree, but I feel like it lost its expansive open world feel like Halo123, it felt like a "follow this route" sort of game.
Halo 5 Guardian, needs to become Xbox Ones Combat Evolve to Xbox. IT NEEDS to go its Own route again and 'Evolve' FPS all over again!
Making Halo 5 should allow, neigh, it is only Right, that 343 introduce space travel and battle, allowing us to dive into the Halo world is, in my opinion, the Best way to take It and XboxOne to another level and promote sales.. Imagine. ..

Speeding off from planet earth as Agent Locke, arriving in space, zooming around at your own leisure before you warp speed ahead and arrive at a Halo system, to which you can choose to attempt to destroy 3 out of the 8 covenant cruisers and several banshees or duck and dodge, bob and weave, in button sequence, around the armarda before you can make land, Anywhere, on the Halo ring!!!...

I can see it now...

Me.. calling my manager, at work.

"Yh, boss, I'm not going to make it tonight"..... "I injured my foot at the gym"

Or being Master Chief, alone, on a lonely baron wasteland planet, bearing a few Flood pods, to which your radar notes an army of unknown enemies approaching, to which you see More Flood than ever thought possible... Nows the good part!!

Shotgun in one hand, and any destructive weapon locked to your back and a handful of grenandes as your secondaries, you can charge through or around to escape this infested planet and speed off in your space fighter before you are overwhelmed by your excitement at so much Flood splattering but also, by your enemy...

It is also my belief that this story began and will end with the Flood/Precursors!!

Halo 5 would blow, not just our sports socks off, but our whole attire if they went down this route.. Expand Its Story. Expand Its Universe.

I would love to see alternate story lines in the campaign. It doesn't have to be multiple huge endings but it would give the campaign a lot more playability
