If there was a new weapon, what would it be like?

I want a grenade, that doesn't really act like a normal grenade. I'd want it to be called "The Tomahawk." The Tomahawk would have a similar design to that of the Brute grenade in Halo 3, but when you throw it, it 'feels' lighter and goes farther. When the Tomahawk lands on a player, it would instantly drain their shields leaving them one-shot. The only catch would be in the awkwardness of trying to aim it without a proper reticle.

Ooh **** a UNSC revolver would look nuts :/ i would like to see another version of the assault rifle, maybe swap the ammo counter & flashlight for a Dmr scope and foregrip. Give it a forged heavy barrel "crack" sound and give it a few fire modes. It would be a less accurate BR with twice as many shots. I guess it could be silenced too. Some things to think about for other *ahem* games *cough* ODST 2 *cough* cause you would have to be an innie lover if you didn't want to see this universe go to maximum capacity :) long live the king (of games)

Perfection speculation introspection... Time fer another weapon post :}

 

Gravity Gun.

 

A fusion of the one in the Dead Space Series, and Half-Life 2. It has low damage, but is useful for blasting things away. It cannot pick up objects like the Half Life 2 one can, but can be useful for object clearing. The Gravity Hammer may seem more practical, but the Gravity Gun has alternate abilities...

 

a. Aside from normalcy with forcing things away, you can also hold the trigger to catch thrown Grenades, and throw them back. You can also catch Rockets, Fuel Rods, and Incineration Cannon bolts and either deflect them, or catch and shoot them back. Catching Plasma Pistol discharge, Mantis rockets, Rocket Hog rockets and such.

 

b. When using the Gravity Gun, the force field generated by it scrambles the Promethean Vision: essentially making you invisible to it.

 

c. If a Hologram is moving towards you, you can charge and deflect it to walk back the way it came. Not really much of an ability per say, but a minor "Oh that's a cool little feature" kind of thing.

 

d. You can deflect a Sword, and Gravity Hammer lunges if timed correctly. Though you still take a portion of the damage from the weapons.

 

e. You can aim down and shoot to do a super jump. Maybe even a double jump.

 

f. If timed correctly you can stop a Vehicle from running you over, but you receive about half the damage. A Wraith or a Ghost can throttle you though.

 

Cons.

 

a. Low damage yield. Not even worth using to kill people directly. More or less a means to knock people back, maybe even blasting them off of cliffs.

 

b. Low reload speed. Those with Dexterity will have an advantage.

 

c. Has the regular charge of a Plasma Pistol. Overheats a little longer than a Plasma Pistol though.

 

d. Cannot deflect rounds from all Snipers, Railguns, Needlers or regular Loudout weapons except the Plasma Pistol.

 

This is more or less a Power weapon, and cannot be obtained in Loadouts (well in Customs yes).

It would not take very long to figure out the arc of that, and then god status for everyone who does figure it out. At least against those who don't figure it out.

The plasma grenades are instant kill and you get two of them. This grenade would have further distance capabilities but would only bring down a player's shields and would only have an effect on the Spartan it hits directly. (Though it'd be pretty awesome if it bounced for the possibility of two players losing their shields)

Why create new weapons? We have a plethora of existing weapons that have been seen only in EU or one game-

 

Examples:

 

MA5K Assault Rifle

Jackhammer Rocket Launcher

Energy Cutlass

Halo Wars' Flamethrowers

Experimental BR prototype (Contact Harvest)

Argent-V Missiles

SPI armour

 

 

Granted, two of those aren't weapons. But my point still stands.

Actually, a time distortion equipment would be an interesting touch. It is carried as a grenade, but can ONLY be picked up off the map, just like the power drain was in Halo 3. Its purpose is to project a field with a 2 yard radius that slows down time by about 45%, and is unbiased, so if you or a teammate enter it, you will attain the same consequences. A double-edged sword... If used incorrectly.

A weapon that shoots bread.

 

You may customize the type of bread, the section of the bread (crust, insides, golden-brown bottom bun) shot, and what sort of baguette comprises the barrel. The weapon, as you may have already guessed, will be modeled after a shotgun. 

Each individual part of the guns anatomy will be addressed here:

Gauge/chamber- a sawed off Twinky (on both ends)

Trigger - Pretzel

Receiver- An eclair

Magazines- Holds paninis or cornbread

forearm- Hoagie bun

Stock- Triangular quesadilla   

 

There will be a signature bagel around the tip of the barrel. 

 

This gun's damage will be proportional to the amount of explosive yeast powder used. This yeast powder can be gathered from flora on more ecological maps. Specifics are yet to be determined.

Sounds like it was bread for destruction and toasting opponents.

name: Skrane (short for the Sky-Crain)
manufacturer: Some class of forerunner engineer

Ammo and resource:
external resource: Commonly found around us, static electricity
internal resource (ammo): A special energy which chain reacts through webs of static electricity

Visual description:
After hitting the right trigger the second time the internal resource will connect to the static electricity in front of the weapon and burst outward in what is best comparable to a bolt of lightning. The bolt will then branch off into other rich pockets of static electricity.

Characteristics:
main application: Doesn't seem to be one. Weapon is comprehensively destructive.
secondary applications: EMP, infantry destruction, vehicle destruction.

Firing modes:
primary mode: Tap the right trigger to pull/concentrated static electricity in front of the weapon for the initial release of internal resource. Once there is a sufficient amount of external resource concentrated in front of the weapon it will signal the user with an audio queue. Once signalled, tap the right trigger again to release the internal resource in a forward bolt of energy. You have 1-1.5 seconds to drag/concentrate your bolt to the desired target.
secondary mode: None

Efficiency:

 - The bolt can only be maintained for 1-1.5 seconds before the internal resource catrage is depleted in which the user must once again concentrate more static electricity in front of the weapon to initialize the bolt by tapping the right trigger. The weapon automatically switches internal resource cartridges upon depletion.

- The Skrane can be fully equipped with 4 cartridges.

Tips and maximizing capabilities:

- Any contact from the branches of the "lightning" will disable vehicles and/or deplete a large portion of infantry shields. Infantry with depleted shields will be killed on impact from any size of branch.

- Direct impact from the main bolt will kill infantry instantly. If concentrated properly it is possible to wipe out small squads with one shot.

- If the bolt is concentrated on a heavily armoured vehicle such as a wraith or scorpion tank for any more than one second, the vehicle will combust or melt down.

- Branching will occur most significantly near the impact point of the bolt.

I agree the pulse grenade should b more powerful but in cqc. It is effective for a hallway escape or a hesitation kill so it is a tactical weapon but I do agree new weapons should b more tactical just not skill or job specific the need a variety of uses for the diff styles of play.

 

I would like to see blending of tech in the weapons like a forerunner Covi grenade it sticks detonated no kill but releases a particle cloud that either trails and disperse as target runs or builds up if stands still lasts about 10 seconds top anyone in cloud or passes through there shield drains then a wide explosion only strong enough to kill a player whose shield is drained completely.

I agree with needle shotgun totally I would love to see it have a slight homing ability just like needle two stage damage as well but a low clip number and medium reload time other wise crowd control would b devastating just fire away and hope it hits mwahahahahaaa

I want something like the brute shot back but more effective against players and less against vehicle and the blade actually one shot or more like one punched enemys and if you had it in a loadout to spawn with then you wouldn't get a pistol or something or make a power just wanted a bit more versitatilty with the loadouts all the primary's are the same DMR, BR, carbine, lightrifle. AR, stormrifle, suppressor.
