Halo 5 Main Menu (Xbox One) | Fan Made

Hey guys! This is a Halo 5 menu that I made just for fun. I would love if you guys checked it out and told me what you thought! This is also the second game menu I have ever made. Please do comment on the video! It makes it easy for me to read it via email. :) And if you enjoy it, share it with friends! :)

I decided to make this after realizing how much I hated the Halo 4 UI. I feel they should have stuck with a similar layout to the other Halo games. I had finished this a while back but I kept adding more as new ideas popped into my head. Some of the things took a learning curve so it took a little while.

The poster was made as a last minute thing just for fun. I had made this very large version of the Halo 5/Xbox One logo for the menu, so I decided to make a poster of it. I didn't want to add to much to the background so I kept it fairly simple. Maybe I'll have it signed by some of 343 staff in the future. Again it isn't a hassle for you, please leave comments on the video too. (It will be sent to me via email)

I dislike the Halo UI too but I dislike how you handled it as well.

In my opinion Halo 4 got the look and immersion of the UI right but Halo: Reach got it just perfect with the right amount of info on screen. Your UI is very cluttered and difficult to follow like Windows 8(also has bad UI design). I am impressed that you got it down and admire your work but maybe if you aimed for a more simple approach it would be much better(like Halo Reach simple)

I think I'm either misunderstanding, misinterpreting, misconstruing, or mis-*insert anything meaning to not understand* what you're saying. How is the Halo: Reach's main menu simple? even if his is cluttered. The way you say this is like Halo: Reach has a simple main menu, even though it doesn't. Halo 3: ODST had an uncomplicated main menu on both discs, and in terms of details each preceding halo was much more so.

Halo Reach compared to this one was simple because:

Not everything was so clumped up on the screen(which is a big factor)

Not so much text was shown on screen at any given time unless you clicked on something that displayed more information.

When I say "simple" you need to understand basic UI design(the kind you would take in a UI design course which I never took but there is one at my school and my friend would teach me some of things he learned and I would impliment this advice into my games, editing, etc). If you don't understand that then you're going to misinterrupt what I am saying.

Basically: Too much on screen at once. Allow more spacing and options to display more specific information.(I should point out I was talking about the custom game lobby not the whole thing.)

The key-word was text, since I forgot to take that into consideration. I didn't watch the video(Since I can't).

Well, as it was just a fan made one I think it was pretty good. But things were a little cluttered. Nice job on the video, I enjoyed it :). If the next Halo has a more simple, creative lay out I will be very happy. Halo 4, nailed the look I think. If they continue to do that, they are going in the right direction. Once again, great job on the video!
