Halo 5 Plot Ideas

In the Halo 5 trailer, we know that Master chief is hiding his identity, but we don't know from who.

And we know that Master Chief is face to face with a massive Forerunner, but who says that it's there to fight? Maybe Master Chief was looking for it in order to somehow save Cortana, and my evidence to that is how Master Chief holds Cortana's chip while the that Forerunner thing is rising from the sand. It also seems to me like Master Chief fought through a lot to get there because of his cracked visor, which probably has something to do with the Didact or maybe even the UNSC.

But this is all theory, and it looks like we'll be getting no information until E3 2014.

Tell me some of your theories. Thanks for reading.

Well, maybe he wants Cortana back so badly, but the UNSC won't let him search for her, so he runs away. Then, he hides in search for help.

Part of this seems correct like him wanting Cortana back so badly even if the UNSC denys it.

Spartan-II's are no stranger to emotional outburst and when they finally feel emotions it is a whole new world for them(Since they were trained not too). I am going to avoid going into further detail but read the books if you want to know.

The covenant makes a massive ship called the Commitment to Peace which attacks tokyo and fails, it retreats and loses 2 of its carriers. The end

I am having ideas for Halo 7,8,9

Halo 7 (2020): The Greater ark and Didact are destroyed, Jul 'Mdama has lost his full scale empire and has given up on the conquest for Forerunner tech and power. But then 2 Cults (1,500-4,500 troops for each cult) decided it was still to be fought for. The UNSC has gotten out of the Milky Way successfully. A massive celebration was happening on the Infinity. The Chief, Arbiter Akiza, Banks, and Stacker all traveled to look for life. They saw in the far distance a strange winglike cloud. That is when covenant boarders came in and started destroying the ship. The infiltrated ship was dominated by 2 cruisers and 1 carrier (usually that is impossible, without boarders) They crashed into the strange cloud (it was actually a massive station) and learned it was a Precursor Militarized Zone, or the Wings of the Precursors. The Master Chief crashed with the Arbiter; Akiza and Stacker crashed somewhere else, and Banks was missing. There they will fight the covenant and find about the Precursors and there attempt to completely rid of all life in the milky way.

Halo 8 (2023): Master chief, Akiza, and The Arbiter will fight through the galaxy stopping the covenant and precursors from destroying all life and learn that there is more wings.

Halo 9: The Mythic Fight (2026): The final fight in the main series. This will have what is left of Jul 'Mdama's army trying to kill the Human Race and Precursors with the Flood becoming the master race for a while. The trio will try to end all of the Wings and kill

Gladiator of the Swift Victory

This would only work if 343 likes my ideas (doubt it)

Here's a novel idea. Let's focus on true cannon and set Halo 5 back on Harvest. Let's play through the insurgents with Red and Blue team. Halo has so much potential, but instead, we stick with the old Covie vs UNSC, with a dash of third party (flood, forerunner).

For that matter, can we please have a Halo game that doesnt start off with a Covenant ship boarding party, of Chief crashing into something? It gets old fast...

Halo 5 plot ideas. ever herd of mendicant bias? he is a forerunner AI that was given the tasked with the study of the primordium(a flood gravemind) to find ways to stop it. after 43 years of talking with it he was persuaded to assist the flood with the destruction of the forerunners. the eventually stopped him, disassembled him and buried part of his systems on the ark. you may think he has no relevance to anyone anymore but in halo 3 you can find terminals to interact with that display massages from him to the master chief saying that he is repentant and wants to assist the chief in his journey. so I would not be surprised if the flood return in "halo 5" and I would love to see that happen. as for master chief in the teaser trailer I think he is trying to find this AI to get help. can't wait till e3 2014 to see what is true and what is false. i like campaign better than multiplayer so i hope they make it long and AWE INSPIRING!

Here's what I think Halo 5's plot will be:

Master Chief goes AWOL after the events of Halo 4 and is on the run and hiding from the UNSC.

For whatever reason, Master Chief is drawn to Mendicant Bias, shown in the next-gen Halo trailer. Master Chief agrees to work for/with Mendicant Bias because Mendicant Bias tells him there is a way to bring back Cortana, which is why Master Chief brought Cortana's chip with him.

While the Didact is still alive, and still an enemy, as are the Forerunners, the main enemy in Halo 5 and Halo 6 will be the Flood (They aren't gone. There is more than one Gravemind), and their creators, the Precursors.

I already predict the Forerunners and Humans will eventually form an alliance, like the Covenant and Humans once did, to fight the Flood and the Precursors.

Time will tell how right I am.

Like most people here, I think the Chief will have a falling out with the UNSC for the following reasons:

The UNSC, and humanity in general, will have developed mixed feelings about the Spartan Program.

- While humanity would have been wiped out if it werent for the spartans (the master chief in particular), they also know how mentally flawed they are as people and their dark past of fighting human rebellions. Perhaps since Halo 3 the UNSC has found ways to perfect these flaws and have developed a new generation of spartans that are not connected to the older programs. Thus making the Master Chief a sore reminder of what the Spartans once represented.

- By the time Halo 4 happens, the Master Chief is a living legend to many. However, some within the UNSC leadership such as Captain Del Rio of the Infinity just see the Chief as a broken soldier and a relic of the past. This tension is displayed in Halo 4 between the two as the Chief disobeys Del Rio's orders to surrender Cortana. Del Rio won't even listen to the Chief for tactical advice when confronted with the threat of the Didact. Del Rio may represent a segment of the UNSC that want nothing to do with the Master Chief or the dark stain that was the Spartan II program.

Master Chief's actions in Halo 4 drive a wedge between him and the UNSC

- The case could be made that the Master Chief was responsible for the Didact threat. When the Chief learned that the Infinity was trying to contact him, he and Cortana tried to open what they believed was a communication device to warn the Infinity not to enter Requiem. One could argue that the Chief was reckless to mess around with Forunner technology without understanding what he was doing. Or one could say that he was reckless to allow Cortana to guide him to accidently release the Didact. Cortana was dealing with severe rampancy at this time. She was losing her mind, acting defiant towards authority, and even the Chief at times. Someone could argue that Cortana was so broken herself that she may have intentionally fooled the Chief into releasing the Didact. Whatever the case may be, the Master Chief was largely responsible for releasing the Didact from his prison, whether we like to admit that or not.

- What if the UNSC needed a scapegoat for what happened at Ivanoff Research Station and New Phoenix? There was no clear indication that the Didact actually died and therefore no one has yet to take the blame or be punished for those murders. Since the Chief accidentally released the Didact, someone could argue that all those people never would have died at the hands of the Didact had the Chief not released him from his prison.

- What if some of the UNSC leadership try to court marshal or reprimand the Chief because of his actions on Requiem? There are no witnesses to verify the Chief's story except Cortana. And now she is dead. Even if she were still alive she had been suffering from Rampancy. Who would believe her anyway? It would just be the Chief's word against whatever facts and evidence someone could build in a case against him.

The Chief is Searching for Dr. Halsey, and so is the UNSC, but for different reasons

- So one thing is for sure, the UNSC and Dr Halsey are on the outs. They tried to assassinate her, she wants revenge against them and has now joined up with the covenant we saw in Halo 4. This presents a big problem for the Chief. He needs her alive because he believes that she may be critical to reviving Cortana. Yet the UNSC want to kill her because they view her as a traitor and a liability who is aiding the enemy.

- This may force the Chief to choose sides in future battles. Will he be forced to fight against the UNSC in order to protect the only means he might have to saving Cortana? Will he betray every thing he was taught and groomed to be as a soldier by defying the UNSC's standing order to hunt down Halsey?

I'm not saying i expect all of those things to actually take place in Halo 5, but they would be interesting angles to play off of. especially the last one about Dr Halsey. I think any of those angles would help push the Chief into finding his own identity. Him trying to figure out what it means to be human and what is role within humanity in general really means. Perhaps the Halsey story line will force the Chief to question his own morals and loyalty to the UNSC and humanity. It might force him to figure out what is most important to him. Does he side with the UNSC and continue to follow orders? or does he protect the people and things that mean something to him specifically?

In the previous games, including Halo 4, there is a line drawn out in the sand, so to speak. We see good vs evil. Red vs blue. The Master Chief is the good guy and the Covenant/Flood are the bad guys. What if this time the fog of war creeps into the halo franchise and we see a conflicted Master Chief struggling to figure out who is friends and enemies are. In the past, he has always acted selflessly for the benefit of mankind. what if in Halo 5 he decides to fight for himself and god help whoever gets in his way.

Just some food for thought.

In regards to the unidentified machine in the Halo 5 Trailer, these are my thoughts on it being a Forerunner War Sphinx. This, with reference: The War Sphinxes were described as being ten meters high and twenty long, with an elongated tail that provided lift and power. From the "tail" rose a large rounded torso with a command cabin perched on top. The command cabin was designed to resemble a Forerunner face, with features arranged in an angry or stern expression and two viewports serving as "eyes"is shown to give the unknown Forerunner Machine matches with the description of a War Sphinx; The "tail" is obscured by dust, obviously, but the "Feature arranged in an angry or stern expression and two viewports serving as "eyes"." are clearly defined in the image attached to this wiki page. While the rest of the limbs that are joints of hard light are not entirely visible, it can be assumed they are fully transparent in the lighting in the background as a plausable theosis that this is a War Sphinx. The reasons that this is NOT a Seeker are clearly explained in the Seeker page:Seekers were longer and more streamlined than War Sphinxes, and were equipped with more powerful movement and defensive capabilities. They lacked the "face" that adorned the command cabin of a War Sphinx.Note, it says "They lacked the "face" that adorned the command cabin of a War Sphinx.", the above image of the unidentified Forerunner construct CLEARLY shows a "face" in the form of a what is assumed to be the command cabin of a War Sphinx.I would also like to mention that although neither reference "tenticles", they could very well form the "tail" of the War Sphinx.Refs:War Sphinx - http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/War_SphinxSeeker - http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Seeker

Sigh... Sorry it failed to format properly...

You don't know much about measurements do you. That thing from the trailer is a lot bigger than 10 meters
