VinWarrior Posted April 2, 2014 Report Share Posted April 2, 2014 Respawn has showcased a trailer of the mighty robot himself, Optimus Prime, as a playable Titan skin in the future. Now, with today being April Fools, it is obviously difficult to separate what could be true or not, but along the way we do see some interesting pieces. This one in particular got quite a lot of attention, as on IGN's YouTube.com account, they uploaded a video showcasing a supposed "future Titanfall DLC" featuring Optimus Prime as a playable Titan. He dons a glowing sword and other Titan weapons according to the trailer. Obviously, this is incredibly far-fetched, but it's still an interesting piece to look at and should still be considered anyway. While possibly being a joke, it still hints at future skins and new titans, and opens the door for expansions to branch out. If feedback goes well you may very well see other mechs from series like Robocop and even Avatar joining the IMC or Militia. So with that odd piece of information, do you want future fictional robots or characters as playable skins in Titanfall? Or should Respawn completely avoid the travesty of adding in other universes to the mix? Let me know below! Axilus Prime Posted April 2, 2014 Report Share Posted April 2, 2014 That is hilarious. Now, since Titanfall has no single-player, I'm not buying it, but I do like the idea of Optimus being a skin. Goat Simulator started off as an actual joke, but it turned out to be so popular it ended up getting turned into a real game.... Great things are born from jokes. This could be one of em! I can picture everyone's Titan as a transformer running around the battle smashing humans and ripping out the bellies of others, it be just like the movies.
