what 343i needs to do

This was a good video.

I just believe that CoD and Battlefield will now always outrank halo, and maybe this is something we need to accept?

I think Halo 4 was a let down, but i think even now if Halo 5 was released with all of the cool features, it wouldn't stand up to CoD especially, because, CoD is CoD. A lot of people love CoD compared to Halo.

Not saying Halo is a dead game, but, it'll find it hard to compete. I think the CoD name is more well known than Halo, and i'd even say battlefield, and so we might not get back to the olden days of 250,000 population a day.

what 343i needs to do is

1.fire their forum moderators, the halo waypoints are officially dead(the entire forums have been live for what 2 years, and they have nearly 600.000 users, yet a mere 212.000 threads and a mere 2.8 mil posts.) their moderators have zero idea how to moderate a forum, and will ban forum accounts pretty much indiscrimanately without any due process or chance for reveiw

2.they need to go and actually PLAY the previous halos, and read the halo books, and comics, they need to be thoroughly grounded in what teh past halos were and are

3.they need to actually listen to their userbase, their entire linefor halo 4 was "trust us we are halo fans" and without listening to anyone, or even properly testing their game, they release what is without a doubt the WORST halo game, which has failed to hold any population and lacks teh fundemental aspects that made halo, halo.

But what name do those titles have. CoD is well known but is usually referred to as not innovative, stale and a money milker.

Battlefield is well know too, but refrered to as broken and a milk cow for EA.

Do you want popularity and population over quality?

ODST was worse IMO. Halo 4's multiplayer was disappointing, but at least the campaign storyline actually went somewhere and had just enough original gameplay features to keep things interesting. Yes, toss perks, ordnance drops and instant respawns in the trash, but don't scrap everything that Halo 4 added. I actually preferred certain aspects of Halo 4 to Reach - for instance, I found the campaign more enjoyable - although that might just because it had three of my favorite characters in the franchise (Halsey, Jul 'Mdama, and the Ur-Didact) and brought back the BR - and I definitely preferred some of the armor abilities to their Reach counterparts (for example, Hardlight Shield is far superior to the game-breaking Armor Lock).

ODST had the best campaign of any Halo title. It didnt have a multiplayer feature standalone, outside of Firefight. In retrospect, FF in ODST is far superior to that of it's second incarnation in Reach.

And what is stale or non innovative about CoD and BF? I have never heard those comments thrown around, outside Halo themed forums....which by mentioning that, seems a bit biased on your part. Forums for BF and CoD would say the same things about Halo, except in this case they would be correct, given the large amount of feedback we hqve seen on our own forum.

In any case, what 343i needs to do os, NOT LISTEN to our silly ideas, and NOT emulate aspects of other FPS. This forum alone has proven how unreliable and downright retarded the community is. They'd be better off listening to brainded sloth's.

It would be interesting to see a spike in population, to do so I believe it has to return to what halo 3 was. Best matchmaking by far I could never put it down I had captain rank on my cousins second live at his house we played so much haha memories. This game had a huge population when it came out and I was pumped. But now it's probably around 25k through all the timezones. The state of the game now is awesome but they implemented the presets game way to late. If it was like this from launch it would have faired much much better.

My 2 cents

odst isn't a "full" game in my book, only a expansion, and as a expansion it did wonderfully.
