Surprised, Vivian raised a brow at Eric's comment. "I thought you were a Helljumper," she said, taking her eyes away from him and back to her path. "I figured you'd be the one teaching me how to shoot."

She dismissed the subject once she saw the flickering lights of the medlab. It seemed that whatever had plowed through the base had left Storm's prioritied dispersed well enough away from the more essential parts of the base. She put her shoulder to the doorway, peered in, and waved the all clear to Eric. For her first time in a leadership type position, she felt fairly confident. All that time she spent observing others in command of squads was starting to pay off.

Inside, the lights flickered until they gave out a steady glow. It was still a little dim, brighter in some areas, but she felt safe enough to navigate the infirmiry. "I spent a lot of time here playing PA, even though we don't really have physicians--just field surgeons."

Off to the right, she slung her rifle over her chest and pried open a cabinet. Inside were neatly arranged drawers of various equipment, though mostly items for light trauma cases; instant hot and cold packets, in addition to soft gauze rolls, elastic bandages and some relief gel. She grabbed all that she could, stuffing it into a plastic garbage bag. "See if you can find any saline," she said, "might be labeled as 'sterile water.' We can use it for your injured friend back at the pelican. Grab some tournequttes too, and IV tubing. Maybe some medi--" she stopped herself, waving a dismissive hand. "Just grab whatever you can find."

Frederik found himself face-down on the floor. He struggled to tilt his head upward, only to find himself in an impeccable metallic foyer. Violet stripes of light lined and brightened the surrounding environment. Peculiar stannic beings of tremendous stature stomped about. The Spartan clawed his way upright, and stumbled about. One of the unusual mechanisms looked at him. It stood much taller than him, and possessed a hunched back. Its right arm was nothing more than a purple blade.

"Where am I?" Frederik asked the being.

It opened its face plate, revealing a glowing violet skull and belting out a deafening screech. "You know this place better than anyone, Sir Frederik," it replied in a deep masculine voice. It sealed its face plate, and resumed wandering about.

Frederik gazed at his surroundings. Purple pulses resonated through the luminous veins. Small robots hovered about, paying no mind to the black armoured man.

Three electrified maelstroms leading into the abyss swirled and toiled within the constraints of two struts, one on each side. The stannic creature that he spoke to walked in, and disappeared instantaneously with a whoosh. Hesitantly, he followed the being into the contained void.

He ended up in another area, similar to the last. More metallic hunchbacks milled about. Some stood on nothing more than light. Two beings propelled spiked orbs vast distances, only to have iron canine-like creatures chase after them. They picked up the orbs and darted back to the hunchbacks. One spotted the human, and dashed over to him. It jumped up on him, knocking him over. Its head fired orange bolts at his face, but he felt nothing. Its stannic owner teleported over, and screeched at the metal hound. It jumped off, and let out tinny barking noises.

"Don't worry about him, Sir Frederik, she's just a puppy," the owner said calmly. Glowing orange liquid coated his visor.

"Okay..." he said uneasily. He wiped the goo off, and climbed back on his feet.

Frederik gazed at the metallic hunchback, who stomped their way back to the light field it stood on before. Another being appeared out of the maelstrom behind him. He turned around, quickly asking, "What is this place?!" The creature pointed with its blade arm towards a massive hovering structure in the distance.

"The answers you seek can be found in the Library," it said in a feminine voice. "However, something has been attacking it in your absence, Master Frederik."

Unlike everything else he had seen so far, which was sharp and triangular in shape, this structure was spherical. It possessed veins of light which lacked any symmetry and were placed with no rhyme or reason. The light lines in the front of the structure pulsated more frequently than the rest. The light in the veins appeared to have a reddish tinge to it, which turned violet as it got farther away from the middle. It consumed most of the horizon.

"You had better check it out, sire," the metallic creature stated. "We have been trying to fix it, but to no avail."

"Fix what? And why does everyone around here call me Sir?"

"The monitor has neglected to maintain a specific node within the Domain. Only you can rectify the problem," it told Frederik. "You should know why you are called Sir, Sir Frederik." It looked at one of the smaller maelstroms. "Step into that portal. It will take you to the Library."

He walked over to the portal, and stepped inside. On the other end, he stood at the base of the Library. He looked back at the portal. The area he once was appeared as a dot above a gargantuan storm, swirling and toiling below everything. It stretched as far as the eye could see. He swung back around, and ventured his way into the building in front of him.

OOC: Dust Hunter, you've got physical control over Frederik right now, as he's KO'd in Tai's grip. Please be gentle. :D (as in no dismembering or killing him)

The doors to the Library opened, and Frederik stepped inside. The doors sealed shut behind him and disappeared, leaving him in a darkness which consumed him. He looked around, and could only see violet veins of light leading forward. He walked forward, noticing that as he progressed, his surroundings lit up. He looked down at the ground.

Grass. Light veins bisected the field he somehow ventured into. Frederik focused ahead of him. He spotted a lone oak tree in the middle of a field. Red light lines dispersed from its roots, morphing to purple as they stretched farther away. His vision blurred with each step.

A metallic sphere with a light in the front appeared. Frederik yelped, and fell onto the ground. "Greetings! I am 666 Spiteful Affection, Monitor of Installation FK!" the orb belted out in a tinny voice. It cackled, with each sound differing in note than another.

"What is this place?" Frederik asked, climbing back onto his feet. His vision was mostly green with a red light drawing squiggles in his field of view.

"Your mind, Sir Sir Sir Sir Sir Sir Sir Sir Sir Frederik."

OOC-I am going to make one post as goal in side of the building it is where my character and a few scientists are.

IC- Having heard commotion above Jase headed to the forerunner monitors to see what was going on above ground. Had seen a pelican near the base and a few squads of UNSC he told the scientists and the other marines to pack up and get ready. After he and the scientists are done he sends out the S.O.S. beacon.

"This is spartan Jase of Blackout Company, I am here with survivors of this ransacked hell. I am underneath the base in a Forerunner structure known as the Watch, the entrance is near the Northern end of the base. Look for a cave of some sort be carful there is something out side and we don't know who or what it is. If there is anyone out there come and get us we have valuable information on Requiem and its purpose."

After he sent the S.O.S. Jase went over and grabbed the AI that was with them at the base.

"Have you gotten all the data stored here Hellen?"

"No, not all of it, this base is a treasure trove but its too much for me to gather there are other places to get the information though. I count four more terminals linked to this data archive and I have all of there locations also. wait there is something else, I know what Requiem was made for I'll tell you later once we are rescued."

"OK, but I want you to keep an eye on thing s above ground for us ok?"

"Alright."

After that he plugged her back into the console so she can do her work,

OOC-Now getting to his location would highly difficult for there are Prometheans in the structure so it would be highly difficult with the Prometheans in the way. Make it to were its like six or more posts to get too Jase at least, that would make it realistic. Also save frederick to make the encounter easier, the more there are the easier. I wont be back on until friday of next week so wait to find Jase then please guys?

"My mind?!" Frederik yelled. "What the hell are you talking about?!" His vision slowly cleared up, the metal orb still drawing red scribbles.

"Why of course. None of these hunchbacks walking around out there exist in reality," the droid paused. "None whatsoever..." Frederik looked around nervously, then gazed back at the ball. Green grass clouded his vision once again.

"How can I be inside my own mind?" the Spartan inquired.

"It IS your own mind, after all. It is the one place where you are free to do what you please! H-H-H-H-H-H-H-Ha," Spiteful Affection stated. "But, you are only allowed to access this realm in the midst of your slumber. Your current access to your mind is unauthorized."

"It's my own mind, damn it! Why can't I be here whenever I want?!"

"This is the way all human mental realms are designed. Unauthorized entry can only be triggered when there is something wrong with you... when there is something wrong with me..." the droid looked down. "Initiating r-r-r-r-recovery program."

A white flash blinded Frederik, then his vision cleansed itself. He saw Samantha's head floating instead of Spiteful Affection. "Samantha?!" the Spartan yelled.

"Frederik..." she said. "You can't be here... it's for your own good."

"Wait!" he stretched his arm out towards her. His surroundings faded to black, and he started to fall...

He fell back into reality. His head pounded, and his neck ached. He could hardly open his eyes. He heard a cacophony of guns firing throughout the facility.

OOC: If Dust Hunter doesn't respond soon, I'm going to assume that Tai and crew are fighting Prometheans and ditched Frederik somewhere for the sake of continuing this RP. I'm getting tired of mucking about with Fred's head. <_<

[i'm sure we can stumble upon him sooner or later. I'm gonna have Vivan start to evac with Eric, so if you want to intercept them, feel free.]

"That should be enough," the Specialist said, stuffing a final stack of gauze rolls into a makeshift first aid bag. She slung the bag at her hip, using its weight and momentum swing herself around for the door. Eric gave her the slightest nod then lead the way through the hall with his sidearm raised to eye level, sweeping every inch as they moved with grace and speed back the way they came.

OOC: So I'm going to go ahead and proceed with Frederik's reintroduction...

Frederik assessed his situation. He could not see anything except for a few slits in front of his face. Outside, there was a small room attached to a hallway where a few metallic creatures resembling canines romped about.

"They aren't playing fetch!" he thought. Across from his prison, there was a bench with an empty burlap bag resting on it. "F***, they emptied my bag," he muttered to himself.

The canines focused on Frederik briefly, then retaliated to Covenant gunfire. Blue and green plasma bolts darted by, along with emerald Carbine rounds and some radioactive explosive rods. They pelted their foes with abnormal orange energy bolts. A few well-placed fuel rods and Carbine rounds caused the creatures to explode into separate stannic limbs and drop their strange weapons.

A large blast rattled the area, followed by several smaller blasts, and the Covenant weaponry ceased to fire.

After waiting a moment, Frederik started to bang on the wall in front of him. He paused, realizing where he was.

"God-f***in'-dammit! I'm in a f***in' locker! Those b******s!" He let out his pent-up fury and hit the locker door with all his might. After awhile, his hits started to make a dent.

Desmond woke up and saw some Covenant leaving. He was knocked out and they must have thought he was dead. His rifle was lying on the floor next to him, he got up and retrieved it. Looking around, he realised he was still in the same area as before.

He moved forward to a hallway, where he noticed some small pieces from something destroyed, and a weird-looking device next to them. He picked it up, and saw it rebuild itself on his hand.

"Whoa!" he said surprised, and realising that this device was actually a weapon, he fired a few shots of yellow-orange projectiles on the nearby wall. He hadn't seen anything like that before. Suddenly, a red dot appeared behind him in his motion sensor and he quickly turned around, only to see a big, metallic creature glowing orange charging at him. Unable to dodge, it jumped on him, but before it could do anything, he wielded his Magnum and emptied a whole magazine on its head. The creature backed off and then teleported away.

Desmond, catching his breath, picked up his BR and the recently found weapon, and started searching the area for something interesting.

Taylor hugged the walls, explosions were rocking the facility, he was trying to avoid fire from all sides, as he slipped into another room. This one looked like a bunk-room, red and blue blood mixed the walls, even a squished hand could be seen on a bunk, the covenant really cleared the base out, Taylor also noticed a small hole, maybe the size of a small rodent, in the back of the room, he took off his helmet and looked in closely with his right eye, as he watched a large hulking metal creature tumble down the hall with large footsteps, a large gun in his hand, the same style as most of them, as Taylor could see two Elite Zealots enter the room, both armed with Storm Rifles, as the both let loose a hail of fire on the creature's chest, it did little to nothing as the creature tilted his gun up, and fired on the two, four bolts twirled in the air as the hit the elites at their feet, turning them into the same leathery orange ash as before, then the large creature turned and looked at Taylor, it hadn't seen Taylor, but was scanning the area, suddenly, a red light grew out of his head, it was using Promethean Vision, something unknown to most members of the UNSC at the time, even Taylor, as he wasn't prepared for what would happen next.

the creature saw a glowing red Taylor behind the wall, and opened it's helmet, screeching as it ran into the wall, it's blade at the front, as it charged, Taylor saw this, as his eyes opened wide. He jumped out of the way, as the wall shattered open, the creature stumbling and being knocking into the other side, as it fell to the floor, trying to recover, Taylor took this opportunity to run out of the room, Covenant stormed both sides, Jackals and Elites, as they aimed their rifles and carbines at Taylor, and fired away, Taylor rushed into the next hole in the wall, reaching the gray outside, it was cold, and seemingly barren, but in Taylor's sights, he could make out combat.

Covenant vs Alien vs UNSC. It was absolute hell, Taylor rushed into the fray, jumping on top of an elite, as the elite wrestled him, Taylor snapped his neck, which sent the giant hurdling to the floor, he picked up the Elite's Concussion Rifle, firing on a dog-like alien as it let loose a long, powerful shot, narrowly missing Taylor's neck, and hitting a Zealot trying to assassinate Taylor in the face, as the dog jumped in the air, toppling Taylor, as it scratched at Taylor's helmet with it's claws, messing up his HUD, as he quickly pulled his Kurki from it's position on Taylor's side, and stabbed the dog in the face, twice, destroying it on top of Taylor, as he rushed to a rock, narrowly avoiding Beam Rifle fire, as he yelled into his TAC/COM, "Mal, Ike, this is Taylor, I'm in the courtyard, under real heavy fire, the western wing should have a Hog, get it over here, ASAP!"

Frederik hammered on the locker door, only to catch the attention of a canine with a large spike on its back. It conjured a red circle in front of its face, and shot at the source of the noise he was making: his hand. The menacing red beam poked a hole through the locker and the lock, and a large hole through the ventilation behind the lockers, missing Frederik by mere centimetres.

He kicked the door open, and charged at the canine. "C'mere, boy!" the Spartan exclaimed. It summoned another red circle, before aborting its firing process and engaging in close-quarters combat with Frederik. He started growling like a dog, and tossed the metallic creature into the room, hitting the wall with a slam and falling to the ground.

The canine got back on its feet in an instant. It jumped on Frederik, knocking him to the floor, and started to claw at his chest. While on top of the him, it restarted its firing process. Frederik pushed its head upward away from him, and a scarlet ribbon of death destroyed a fire extinguisher. Frigid carbon dioxide enveloped the room in a cloud. Quickly, he leaped up on his feet and took this chance to pick the creature up by the head and one of its front legs.

"I got ya now!" Frederik proclaimed. Despite Frederik's grip, the canine continued to claw at him with its one free claw. He staggered for a moment as the blood rushed out of his head, and the creature shook its leg free. He could see the golden glow of his shields starting to fail, and began swinging the creature around by its head. "Take this!" He knocked it against lockers, broke the bench with it, and slammed it into the lights on the ceiling. He lost his grip and hurled it across the room.

It stumbled its way back onto its feet, and cocked its head as if it were challenging Frederik, its glowing face now flickering. "I never met a dog I can't train!"

[i can't blame you this time, Bacon. RPs seem to be short lived on this site, but I'd like to know your reasoning this time around.]

IC: In short, the walk back to the Pelican was quicker this time. One less Elite standing in their way, neither Vivian nor Eric had to stop for a kill. Lo and behold, the dropship was still there. By now, between the group's difficulty keeping warm and the idleness of the craft, Vivian began to question if it were operable at all. The idea of mechanical trouble on the only evacuation vehicle in sight felt like a punch in the gut as she stepped in again, killing her excitement of being rescued.

"Is everyone alright?" she asked, glancing over a few of the occupents, Ashley especially.

[i would like to let everyone know that I will be asking a mod to lock this RP when school starts, approximately 25 days from now, or September 17th, it was has been fun ladies and gents. You guys have 25 days to say goodbye to each other, live it well. I just cannot cope with the way this has been going, it really was a hell of a ride.]

OOC: 25 days until the end of this segment or the entire thing? Either way, let's send it out with a bang!

Frederik charged at the canine and dived towards it. It leaped out of the way, and retaliated by jumping at the Spartan. He got up and stepped out of the way, and stomped on its head. With a spark and a boom, it fell apart. "Lay down... good boy," he said. Amongst the wreckage, a massive gadget stood out. Frederik picked it up. It looked like a sniper rifle of some sort. He looked through a glowing red panel, and saw the screws holding the wall together. "F***, I don't like snipers. It'll have to do." He holstered the weapon which stood taller than him, and picked up the canine's front legs. He fumbled over to his burlap bag, and dropped the legs inside.

Outside, more commotion went on. He stood still, as lumbering metallic hunchbacks stampeded through the hallway with guns firing nonstop. Strange helicopters chugged along behind them, providing cover for the hunchbacks as they launched glowing amber orbs towards some Elites.

As quietly as he could, he picked up another gadget from the previous canines which got destroyed outside of his locker prison cell. It assembled in his hand, forming what looked like a pistol.

"Mal, Ike, this is Taylor! I'm in the courtyard, under real heavy fire! The western wing should have a Hog, get it over here, ASAP!" he heard someone say over comms.

With that, he reached into his pocket, and pulled out a bottle of pills. He lifted his helmet up enough so he could pop a pill into his mouth, and continued moving west.

OOC: At this rate it's going to be the tale of Frederik, Desmond, and Vivian. D:

The Spartan hustled through hallways littered with bullet holes and plasma burns. He found himself back in the hallway where he encountered Tai, who now lied down on the floor with several lacerations to the chest and arms devoid of life. He looked down at his rival. He started kicking the corpse, until he did not feel like kicking anymore. The urge to find a blade to take Tai's head disappeared. All sorts of feelings, emotions, and memories drained away from his mind.

His medication was taking effect.

He saw a red dot on his radar, and footsteps echoed shortly after. He hid behind a crate, and watched the shadow of the massive metallic monster stomp through. He kept quiet, and let the behemoth pass by. Quickly, he ran through a set of doors which led to the garage.

He knew he ran over here for a reason... but for the life of him, he could not remember.

[@Helljumper it's mainly because of general post quality declining for the past few months. I just don't have any ideas. I'm probably going to take a break for a bit, maybe look at some if the Fallout stuff on Bethesda. I don't wan to name anyone but there are a few posters in the RP's who I probably won't accept due to general crappiness.

I hope I'm not sounding elitist, but if you look back at the original RP's, then the recent ones, the overall quality is declining.]

[Tl;DR I have got bored of crap RPing. For those who can't be bothered reading.]
