This is a copy pasta of the last thread, rules not updated here. See IOC thread for that updated

It is the year 2578, and humanity has made great advances in they years following the Wars that nearly caused their extinction and is now much more powerful than ever! Recently though, remnants of the Insurrectionidts that plagued the UNSC over fifty years ago have resurfaced, with new technology of their own. Recent Fighting has caused many colonies to break away, and begin their own ideals.

This is where you come in- you must create a faction(using the faction sheet below) and join the battle between hindreds of worlds in an attempt to gain control of one of the largest empires since the Forrunners.

Rules-

-The flagship of a fleet can be no bigger than the Infinity or similar size.

-Slipspace travelling can take a few weeks for nearby planets, and months for further away planets.

-Humans cannot jump accurately and must exit millions of kilometres away from a planet

-covenant can arrive next to a planet

-No OP faction

-No forerunner/precursor faction UNLESS it is done EXTREMELY well (Sentinels, Prometheans, monitors from installations are fine though)

-Same with Flood and Ancient human factions

-it would take weeks, if not months to conquer a planet. GLASSING IS PROHIBITED AND MUST BE AGRREED UPON!

-invading an occupied planet/system must be agreed upon

-there should be two-three people operating a faction- one as a higher up person and two normal people/soldiers

- remember the powers if weapons. A CCS battlecruiser can not take a MAC round from an ODP and survive etc

Kjal 'Votramee looked upon the 'Votramee keep. Many species were hard at work within the concentric circular structure, building and tending to ships, artefacts and buildings. The place was a fortress, he had the luck to have an entire temple in his backyard! Since discovered, his clan had warred until the place was a fortress, establishing the 'Votramee dominance in the area.

The U.C.R.S. Haunted, outer system patrol.

"All green in J2  sir!"

"Nothing in J4 sir!"

"Clear in J1 sir!"

The captain sat silently, waiting for the final callout.

"J3 crewman?"

"I....I don't know. Sir, you need to take a look at this."

"Just call it out son."

"Sir I...you need to see this now."

The captain proceeded to the station and began looking at the monitor. He shoved the crewman aside and began to stare deeply at the information he was seeing.

"Bloody hell....."

"Sir?"

"Commander, sound the alarm, all hands to battlestations. Marine, confine all non-essential crew to their quarters. Lt, get me NavCOM and patch it through to my office, priority omega."

The captain hurried to his office as the rest of the crew hurried to their stations, clueless as to why.

The crewman took his seat again, staring at the monitor. A marine came over and began looking as well.

"James, what the hell is going on?"

"It's...I don't know what it is...but something is using our long range probe to communicate. It doesn't match anything on records."

"Couldn't it just be radiation or something?"

"No it...we'd know if it was something like that. Look, something is sending out a signal through our probes, we can't locate the source from here."

"Why hasn't anyone else detected then if it's coming from home?"

"Were the only ship in range of the probe. It's...crazy. It's also very bad. The probe just lit up like a bomb, anyone withing range could detect it and find out about us!"

"Who's in range though? We're pretty isolated."

"The probe is just a relay, that signal could be jumping across the Galaxy!"

"That's bad."

"I just hope the guys at NavCOM figure something out."

Tal' Alpha stood in his Flagship, the Torus, in the Talism legend, the gun used by Seraph to vanquish twelve of Solar's generals, as he stood, in his golden Zealot armor, his two curveblades holstered on his sides, and the marking on his chest, a Huragok symbol, meaning "Path" in black, he stared out into space, as his General, Zos' Jatak, came bursting through the Covenant doors, Zos' was his second in command, and leader of the army, he yelled over at Tal', "Tal! Your son has yet again disobeyed Law. He snuck out to-" as Tal's booming voice stopped him, "That is enough, Zos'." as the whole deck became silent, he put his hand outward, as his Energy Dagger slashed outward in a glow of gold, soon, he did the same with his other hand, and boomed once again, "That will be all from you, Zos'. Get back to your real job." as his general walked back in fear and nodded, pulling his head down and walking back the way he came, Tal' turned to a Minor Elite, fiddling with his controls, as he touched the elite's shoulder, he spoke, in a smaller, but still loud voice,

"Get me my son, please."

As the elite jumped up and nodded, rushing to a nearby elevator, Tal' looked once again upon the endless void, but a glow emitted, from a planet, Mars, in it's red glow, large mountains, and massive craters. Then, a voice rung out, from another Elite in the room, "Holy One, you will want to see this." he spoke, as Tal' slowly approached, the elite, a Major, looked up at him and gestured towards the screen, it was a blip, not one Tal' had seen before, Tal' looked at the Major, and questioned him, "It looks like a probe- but not one of ours... Is it dangerous?'' as the Major looked up at him,

"I- I don't know Holy One, it isn't close by, but I can still track it, should I send a squad of Banshees to investigate?"

As Tal' stared at the screen, for several seconds, only nodding, not taking his eyes off of the blip, and then speaking, "Send them."

[-_- PAST. TENSE. This is really annoying now.]

Kjal stormed into his council chambers. His Honour Guards parted in front of him and followed him in ceremony. He dismissed them with a wave of his hand, now was not the time. He passed the second set of doors. The carefully carved stone engraved in the arch gave no impression of concealing a two-metre thick blast door, capable of blocking Fuel Rod Cannon rounds and airlocking itself in case of Radiation and Bio attacks.

Reaching the conference room, he saw several Human and Sangheili Fleetmasters and Shipmasters already discussing the latest scan results. As he sat in his throne, he waited for three seconds before he hit the table. His carefully carved and ornate armour scratched the otherwise flawless wood. He saw several drinks spill from the force of the impact. Keying the wrist pad he owned, several holo-pads materialised in front of the now silent counsel in front of him. On his hologram, he keyed for several Unggoy scuttled in to clean the mess. As they cleaned, he began.

"As you know, our latest scans of the nearby systems revealed a wealth of Forerunner artefacts. This is our first scan past the 20,000 light year radius AWAY from Sangheilios and has revealed substantial reward. Now, you have been selected as my counsel for your excellenc ein strategic plannic and naval tactics." The holograms in front of everyone changed to a fleet of mixed Human and Covenant ships.

"After consulting my.. Advisors, we have come up with a basic outline of a strategic procedure to take control of these warships. Our Assault Carriers, The Glorious Ascension and Irrevent Oppression will carry our scouting fleet ahead to this world." The view then changed to one of every ship planned to go. Paris-Class Heavy Frigate x4, Destroyer x1, Prowler x2, CRV- Class Light Cruisers x4, CCS- Class Battlecruiser x3, CAS- Class Assault Carrier x2 followed by ship names and troop counts.

"Our landing party may be large, but if there is life on this planet, we must show our strength. The fleet will be divided into two sub-fleets under command of Fleetmaster Admiral Zhak..." He motioned to his left. "...'Votramee and High Shipmaster James Delreuse. This mission will be a top-priority and I expect FULL co-operation and support here. Mission starts in Three Hours, anything and anyone not on the ships will be left behind. If you have nothing to say, council adjourned."

The Grand Admiral made his way to the briefing room. As he walked in, he glanced around. It was never a briefing he wanted to give.

It was a grim silence as he made his way onto the podium.

"Alright, this will be short.." he began as a video began playing behind him. The lights were dimmed.

"Several hours ago our outer-system patrol detected a signal being relayed through the deep space probe in this sector here. This was 22 hours ago. Since then our findings have concluded that the signal is originating from beneath the badland desert, in this location here. Excavation teams are already at work. But as far as we know, we've just been revealed to the rest of the galaxy."

There was a murmuring in the room.

"As it stands, we now are at defense condtion Bravo. Battlegroups Lance and Hammer are in defensive poistion around the planet, while battlegroup Spear are currently deploying minefields in certain areas around here, here and here. All ships have been given increased Nuclear payloads. Our best bet is to lure hostiles into the killzone around the planet, the Anti-Orbital weapons stand ready."

"Admiral, what about the source of the signal? What do we know about it?"

"We can't confirm anything, but we believe it's Forerunner."

There was again murmuring the room.

"The ground defense will be discussed when we have more information, but as for now, you're all dismissed."

Tal' Alpha stood on deck, his arms on his sides as he watched the planet in front of him, all of a sudden, a slipspace portal burst open in a hail of blue and aqua energy as a Corvette emerged slowly from the beaming circle, it's color, a grayed out yellow, with the same symbol as on Tal's armor, following the ship was multiple Liches, with the same color, as soon as all ships exited the portal it closed, and Tal' walked forward, being only inches from the glass, as he yelled out, turning his head, "Battlegroup Vita is here! Where is Battlegroup Exma?" as Elites around him frantically entered commands in consoles and worked to prepare nearby fleets for an attack. Another elite, wearing Ultra armor without a helmet, his armor Blue in color, and shoulder pieces missing, walked into the room non-nonchalantly, as Tal's eyes widened and he turned around. He put his hand up, pointing in his son's face and yelling,

"You broke the HOLY LAW yet again, Raz'! What am I going to do with you, I have an army to command and you are running off partying?!"

As the room just stood in horror, his son included, as the son stared into his father's eyes before walking out, Tal' stood defiant but put his head down to think about what he had just said, as multiple doors opened, Jackal Majors walking out, Fuel Rods on their backs, as one stood out, he looked like a Sniper Jackal, but had no helmet on, the jackals lined up in formation as Tal' began walking toward the elevator, and the guards followed him, these were his personal escorts, true zealots. The jackals followed Tal' to a door as he opened it using a hand-recognition software, it had a small, circular holographic table, and Field Marshalls, each, in yellow armor stood around it, they all locked eyes on Tal' as four guards exited the room, guarding the outside door, while four, including the sniper, lined up inside the room, by the door. Tal' looked around at the Field Marshalls, who kneeled and prayed in the sangheili language, Tal' nodded and all quickly rose up, surrounding the table, Tal' activated the console, showing an image of what looked like a forerunner power source, it looked damaged too. Tal' spoke, pointing at the holograph,

"We recently discovered... A forerunner power source... We have no idea of it's intentions, who is using it, and if they are hostile. Fear not... For banshees have been sent-"

As he was cut off when the door slammed open, a Grunt Ultra rushing through, holographic papers in his hands, and Jackals not too far behind him, trying to restrain him, the Grunt yelled out to Tal'

"H- Holy One! I just discovered a slipspace rupture, it isn't one of ours..."

As the whole room gasped and murmured, Tal' looked down at the Grunt, and yelled at it saying, "Get to the Hanger and notify General Zos'! Move up the defenses!"

Tal' immediately rushed out of the room, the Jackal sniper following him, and pulling out his Plasma Repeater, ready to defend Tal' as the two rushed up to the bridge, to see if contact could be made.

"My lord, our fleet has exited the Slipstream above the planet. A fleet or ships- Unkown classification though constructucion materials appear similar to known Human ships images included in the files appear to be in orbit and have shown no hostile intention as of yet. They bear no markings we recognise." Reported the Fleetmaster to the hologram of Kjal in front of him. "We have not yet deployed any ships from the Assault Carriers, they have no idea of our fleet size. Our portside Plasma Cannons have loked onto the fleet and we are prepared to fire. What would you advis eis the best course of action?" He continued.

"Keep the fleet undeployed. Our augmentations to the CAS shield technology will allow you to get inside the fleet with barely a scratch. if they attempt any sort of engagement, intercept their course and deploy the ships. Attempt a parley, if they refuse, fire one warning shot. Destroy a ship. If they continue to engage, open fire. Leave no survivors." Answered the Officer. "Relay these instructions to the other fleet, and then attempt communications. 'Otsoree Keep out." The hologram faded, leaving the room in darkness.

Entering the bridge, Zhak ordered his Lieutenant to broadcast the message to the other carrier before opening communications.

"This is High Fleetmaster Zhak 'Votramee of the carrier Glorius Ascenscion, reresentative of the Talons of Sangheilios. We wish to study the Forerunner artifacts on the planet you so occupy. If you do not comply, we are not afraid to melt your entire fleet to molten titanium. We will be preparing a Lich boarding party to discuss terms of your surrender and dismantling of your fleet. you have five standard minutes to reply or we will commence immediate action. Do you comply?"

[Omega you may want to edit your post, I had already decided with Ledgend what we will roughly do.]

"What the hell just happened?!"

"Sir, it's....it's a covenant carrier! No...it's twon of them!"

"It's finally happening...Any sign of other ships?"

"Negative!"

"Why the hell would they send a pair carriers alone?"

"Sir, I'm not detecting any sign of their weapons charging."

"Damage?"

"Nothing on our scanners."

"Get the Valiant to prepare a boarding team, have the Aegis move up and support it. Take the one on the right"

"Yes sir."

"Have all other ships stand ready, deploy drone fighters and bombers. Prepare counter boarding teams."

"Yes sir."

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

U.C.R.S Valiant, several minutes later.

"Alright boys, this is where it begins. We start the fight here! Objectives are the capture of the ships engines and reactors. We'll move there should be several massive corridors used to transport Vehicles and large amounts of troops all over the ship. Were avoidng them.

We'll be taking side passages, which should contain little more then small infantry patrols."

"All boarding teams, this is the captain. Were latched, get ready to blow the doors in 60."

"Alright ladies, this is where the fun begins! Get the shields up front!"

"30 Seconds."

"Charges set, get locked and loaded marines!"

"10 Seconds"

"Give 'em hell boys."

"Now!"

The doors burst open and the marines rushed in. Being met with large swarms of infantry and turret fire, the shields of the marines boarding team were begining to melt from taking so much suistained plasma fire.

"SIR, THIS THING WON'T HOLD MUCH LONGER!"

"Smoke, Smoke!"

A cloud of blinding white smoke filled the hanger, the plasma fire became less suistained and more inaccurate. It was working.

"Get those flamethrowers up, move!"

A squad of marines proceed through the thick cloud. The only signs of the battle was the sound of gunfire and plasma fire.

"Sir, the turrets are down! We cooked the ********!"

"Move up, move up! Go!"

The marines rushed through, dousing the area with suppressive fire.

They had broken the defenses though, the hanger was theirs for now. It was little more then cleaning up.

"Valiant, Valiant, this is Alpha leader, come in over. Can't get through, something must be jamming comms."

"Sir, take a look at this!"

"What the hell?"

"What is it LT?"

"It's a human. Alien ******** must have enslaved the race!"

"So that means that Earth has been taken?!"

"Guess so. Boys, it's time for a bit of payback. Get me a casualty report!"

"Sir, 1 dead from Charlie, 3 Wounded from Charlie. Nothing else to report."

"What the hell happened to Charlie?"

"Came up against a squad of those big, lizard ones."

"Alright, let's get moving everyone. Whiskey, will stay behind and guard the clamps."

They proceeded through the ships corridors, encountring minor patrols before being coming up to a small door.

"Get a breach on the door. Flash and Clear."

The marines quietly huddled up to the door. They made little sound as they placed a charge on the door. The LT signaled the count down. The door burst open and grenades for tossed in. The lound bang signaled it was time to move in.

"Lets go!"

They rushed in and began to open fire on anything they could see. It was odd though, they took almost no return fire. After the room was clear they checked around.

"It was a mess."

"That bad huh?"

"No, it was a mess hall. They were eating breakfast."

"Who the hell eats when your ship is getting boarded?"

"Maybe they never expected us to get this far?"

"That can't be it. But we didn't hear an alarm..."

"SIR! You need to see this!"

"What is it now?!"

"Out the window!"

"Holy crap."

They were looking out at the wreckage of the Valiant and a covenant battle crusier in the backround.

"********!"

"So that's it? We've lost?!"

The low morale of the Marines was suddenly boosted as a shell struck one of the ships, doing damage.

"Marines, were not out of the fight. Look, I'm going to be honest, this is now a sucide mission."

"Were in it 'till the end LT!"

There was a shout of agreement from the marines.

"God damn you boys make me proud! Let's give these aliens hell! Move out!"

"Fleetmaster, enemy ships closing on Carrier Irrevent Oppression on bearing one-four-five, two of them. Close approximation; Destroyers!" Reported the Lieutenant on the deck below the fleetmaster.

"Engage weapons! Melt their armour!" He responded, suddenly alert in his throne.

"Firing Plasma Torpedoes on decks A1 through C7... All batteries firing... Hit! The left ship is venting atmosphere, right is attempting boarding maneuvers. Firing now!"

"They have locks on us, missiles firing, hit! They've hit in hangar 12C, injuries reported. Shields holding at 67% charge!"

"Move to intercept the crippled ship! Blow her out of the sky!"

"Yes sir, intercepting in 3.. 2.. 1.. Brace for impact!"

A huge screech of metal-on-metal resounded throughout the ship as the Glorious Ascension rammed the already damaged Destroyer. The Assault Carrier completely tore it in half and turned around for another attack run.

"They're launching fighters, Lasers primed, launching all craft."

The radio came alive on the COM.

"Ascension, this is the Irrevent, we cannot hold position much longer, we're deploying the fleet and everything we have. Get our of the blast radius, we're scuttling. Timer set for five. Irrevent out." The COM filled with static.

"Sir, the Carrier is launching everything they have."

In space, the second of the two bulbous, hook-prowed craft suddenly appeared to drop it's underbelly into space as a tiny fleet concealed inside dropped into atmosphere. Immediately, a CCS-Class Battlecruiser caught on a docking strip and exploded in a ball of purple flame as thousands of tiny fighters dogfighted in the rubble field around them.

"Well, now they know our surprise trick now. All ships, focus fire on the ship thats nearly dead. The sacrifice of our Carrier will avenge our fallen brothers more than enough and take them down with it!"

"Admiral! We lost the Valiant and the Aegis is taking massive damage, it's not going to last long."

"Bring the surviving ships in formation!"

"Yes sir! Drones are engaged with hostile craft, they're pushing."

"Tell the ships to target the small ships first!"

The battle went on for almost an hour. It was an instense slugging match with both sides taking massive losses.

It was when the Destroyers began to fall that the Navy's inexpirence showed. Ships moved out of vital poistions to rescue life boats. The hole in their defenses were being exploited.

"Sir, Battleships are holding the line, the enemy is taking a beating."

"Damnit, that assualt carrier is coming towards us!"

"It's struck the Unforgiving! It's badly wounded. Sir, she won't last under suistained fire!"

"Attempt to draw it closer to us! Tell the remaining ships to focus on then rest of the enemy fleet!"

"Sir?"

"We'll lure it into range of the Anti-orbital weapons."

"it'll take some time for the slug to hit."

"We've got the armour, we can last for it."

"Sir, it's taking the bait! The Unforgiving is limping away and being covered by the Unrelenting."

"Follow that ship, disintegrate it!" Commanded the Fleetmaster as he gave chase.

"Sir, scans show orbital guns around the planet! 10,000 KM and closing."

"Follow that line, as soon as the shields reach 25% charge, deploy the second half of the fleet!"

"Yes sir, plotting course now, all Plasma Torpedoes and Frontal Energy Projector charging!"

"Fire on my mark... FIRE!"

The entire ships weaponry fired at the fleet ahead. thousands of bolts of energy hit the tightly-packed ships ahead and began to melt them. A second later, the energy projector fired and lacerated two ODP's.

"Move to engage, let them pass around us!"

"Sir, were taken heavy damage, that bloody carrier is working away at our armour!"

"What's the hull status?"

"63% and falling!"

"Keep holding!"

"Sir, the Unyielding has been struck by a torpedo, it's ammo racked!"

"Damnit! Unrelenting, hold them back, cover the retreat!"

"Sir, 23%!"

"Sir, I'm tracking the projectiles. HIT!"

It was a thunderous sound for the marines aboard the carrier, working there way towards the engines. The ship shook violently. As they were recovering a second projectile hit, knocking them back down. The carrier drifted slowly before it's central section erupted in a bright blue explosion. Many smaller explosions followed throughout the ship.

"This is the Unrelenting! Reporting critical hit! Carrier is down, I say again the Carrier is down!"

"Unrelenting, Fallback!"

"Acknowleged."

The ship made it's way towards the safe zone, taking some fire but nothing serious. The enemy would surely not pursue them knowing what awaited. It was a sorry sight, The Battlegroups carrier was heavily damaged, Two of the three battle ships were taken out of action. Only a few destroyers limped back to safety. The Unrelenting is the sole ship to remain in action.

"Unrelenting, this is NavCOM, broadcast to the Covenant ships calling for negotiations. Orders come direct from the council."

"Acknowledged. Broadcasting now."

One of two Carriers down. That would put a serious dent in Zhak's firepower. Then again, three ships down at the cost of at least 15. he hadn't done badly considering the odds he was facing.

"Commander, incoming COMM. They want to negotiate a surrender!"

"Patch them through."

"Patching through now."

"Well well." The Sangheili scoffed. "Maybe you should have heeded our warning. You would still have a fleet if you had. Now, you wish to surrender, I believe?" He finished triumphantly. The others in the bridge laughed quietly, rightfully so. "I will not waste my time reading my terms out again. Lay down your arms and let us assume complete control of your planet. Your people will come to no harm. Otherwise... Lets just use this as a demonstration. Bring him forth, Commander."

Two Sangheili Honour Guards entered the bridge, being dragged behind them, a Human pilot who was captured in an attempted boarding raid.

"Any type of rebellion will result in this..."

He activated his energy blade, and pierced it straight through the mans chest. Blood spurted from his mouth and he gargled a little before he slouched. Quite dead.

"You will agree to these terms or this will happen to every person on your planet, and we will not stop until your cities lie in ruins. As you Humans say... Kapiche?"

"Listen you spilt-jaw *******, we just knocked a big hole in your sorry ass fleet. Now I've been told to play nice and tell you that we've found something interesting. The signal that led you here."

The captain stood hope and began pacing his bridge. His crew's eyes were watching.

"Now you listen to me and you listen real good, you're getting real lucky here. Hell, we should be accepting your uncondtional surrender. But you've been given a chance, you can take it, or you can get the rest of your asses whooped and we destroy those pretty ruins. Your choice.

But I'm sure those boys will love another ship to take down."

"NavCOM wants use to regroup with Battlegroup Lance."

"You're playing with the big boys now spilt-jaw, I sure hope your mommy knows your here."

"Sir?"

"Cut comms and get us to Lance."

"Now now, what is it? Captain? Making any attempt of war from now would be a useless gesture. WE have shredded your fleet, so I would not be too hasty in thinking you may be able to defeat us. This is but nearly a fraction of our fleet, whereas IF this is your only planet, then surely everything is here? Correct? Perhaps you would reconsider our offer. I am afraid that after our previous encounter, we cannot trust you and would be fools to believe otherwise. You have five minutes to decide your course of action. Our Dreadnaught is on standby on Sanghelios. You haven't seen nothing yet, that. I can assure you. Five minutes."

"Sir, the we got another message."

"Go ahead, play it."

"It sounds like a bluff to me sir."

"Trust? You expect us to trust you after arriving right beside our planet? Or how about preparing a trap? Hah! Look, were giving you the chance to talk and you're refusing? Will you wage a war for the ruins? Will you still rage a war even if they're destroyed? How much will you risk losing? Do you think it's worth your fleets near ahnilation to prove a point? We won't fall like the UNSC. Everyone will die to take you with us. Will it truly be a walk of truimph when you stand upon the surface of the planet while the ground is stained with your soldiers blood?

Would the thought of losing the ability to defend your people appeal to you? Now you can talk, or we can do this the hard way."

"You do not seem to understand. I feel that I should reinstate my message;

We will talk, this you were offered before you opened fire. I am merely stating that you should not think to betray this trust we are placing on you, or this will be the last of it."

Tal' stood out unto the fleet in front of him, as he turned to a Operator, in Scarlett ultra armor, asking, "What the hell is going on out there?" as the Elite kept his eyes on the screen, fiddling with the controls, answering his question, "Not sure, Sir, they were beating the living hell out of each other one minute ago, looks like they both want something that is on the planet." as the Elite's eyes opened wide, as he turned his head, moving closer to the elite, asking in a quieter voice, "Can you intercept their transmissions?" as the elite, fiddled for several seconds, finally looking up at Tal' answered, "Got some of it, sir... Kinda choppy, but they have incredibly secure channels." as one of the large screens shown a staticy black and white video, as a voice could be heard,

"Maybe you-- heed-- warni--.You would still have a fleet if you had. Now, you wish-- surrender, I belie--? (Static) tell you that---- found---- interesting. The signal that led yo-- here."

as the video cut to black and the room was filled with silence, Tal' looked at the Ultra and yelled, "Patch me through to the Elite, now!" as the Ultra quickly fiddled with the controls, trying to contact the fleet ahead.

"Incoming transmission, Covenant calligraphy. It's one of ours!"

"What? Bring it up, split screen the two COMMS. " ordered the shipmaster as the screen halved in size to create a new one.

"Tal... What do you maggots want from us this time? Take a look at the graveyard here before making a... Rash decision."

Tal' was shocked to see such an old friend, but he retained a wicked smile,

"Well, well... Haven't seen you in years... But I am not calling to anger you, or make such a rash decision, we have decided, that you and I... Have what human filth call a... Common, enemy... So, I propose a temporary partnership, to get rid of these filthy barriers that stand in such a great alliance's way. Would it not be easier to shut down this utterly incompetent human's request and rid the insects of this planet standing in your way in one fell swoop? All they will do is limit you, THEY TREAT US LIKE DOGS! We must show them that WE are now the top of the food chain, and we won't let APES, say what we can and cannot study, and where we can and cannot go... We share common ground brother... Consider the offer, for a temporary time, we can eliminate the bounds that hold us... What do you say?"

as he released his energy blade on one hand, cutting off the head of a small statue.

"Excavation report from the ruins, you have to see this, it's...amazing!"

"Calm down and hand me that. Dismissed."

"Yes sir."

"Now, what do we have here."

"Report on the excavation of ROMEO UNIFORM INDIGO NOVEMBER SIERRA

CLASSIFIED: For officer clearence level 1 only!

The following contains a brief record of what was found so far, personal exploration is recommended. Area has is secure.

The site so far contains several large rooms. It appears to be in pristine condition. There is little to no sign of degredation of it's structure.

So far, the source of the signal is unconfirmed, however several consoles have been located, though no attempt has been made to access them as of yet."

"It is an interesting proposition. The problem being, of course that upon arrival in atmosphere, you would destroy what you are helping me obtain. Give me evidence that you would not break this alliance, and I would... Consider it."

Tal' smiled wickedly, and ordered a Grunt Minor in the room in a booming voice, "Share the Fifth Screen with our friend here, NOW!" as the grunt hurried his hands on the board, and Tal's image cut off, instead, the image of a Forerunner structure on one of Tal's controlled worlds, and Tal' began to speak as the hologram rotated, "This artifact was found on Sirus, one of my worlds, I have not destroyed it yet instead, I have been studying it, to learn it's secrets, and I have learned quite the few, my friend, open up the footage!" as the screen swapped, to a hazy recording, on the grassy planet, as a squad of Elite minors approached the structure, one of them filming it, as the elite turned his recorder to a Minor, who turned his head, as a glow of orange burst through his body, and he evaporated, and the camera turned, and Tal' paused, the camera seemed to show the structure, except in the distance, a floating, forerunner object appeared, it seemed as though it was defending the facility, as the screen was minimized, and Tal' on his bridge was shown again, as Tal' slightly approached the screen, and he brought his hand up, the whole ship seemed silent, as he snapped his fingers, the snap echoed through the entire ship, and one of the doors bursted open, an Elite minor wheeled in what looked like a clear glass cage, and a deactivated Watcher, he looked back at the elite he was negotiating with, and said, "So... Do we have a deal?" as he lightly snickered.
