Before you post here. Anyway, here is where we will start off!

It is August 27, 2552, most of Reach is already under Covenant control, only ashes remain. Quezon is one of the last places with human resistance, and it's falling fast. Any civilian who didn't own a gun was dead before it began. UNSC troops who offered to stay behind, hold out, in the hope that their efforts here will save Earth. Now rumors spread that their is a way that these troops can evacuate any civilians left. A small shuttle, enough to carry about 200 people, is rumored to be docked in Quezon's mountain range, in a secretive military airbase, but now it is abandoned, after most troops tried to secure the remaining population. If those troops don't get to it soon. Everyone left in Quezon, dies.

Taylor sat in his room, a small, cramped bedroom. This was all the Military could use. They were stuck in there until they died from starvation, disease, madness, or the Covenant. Radio wouldn't even respond, they were believed to be KIA. This didn't help raise moral. Snipers would sit on the roof, wasting rounds on Banshees. Anyone else who could shoot was sent out with a gun and grenade in hand. It was only a matter of time, until Reach fell, hell, it had already fallen, and Taylor knew that. He looked down, his Pistol in hand, blue blood stained on the nozzle, he remembered how he got it, he walked behind an Elite and pulled the trigger. Yet it didn't seem like victory then, nor now. He longed for a Pelican, or a Falcon, he would be lucky if they salvaged a Hornet's rocket. A voice called his name from the darkness, "Sergeant DeCello." It said. His head jolted up, his Helmet off. It was another ODST, DeCello nodded, "Yeah?" He knew the ODST was a higher rank then him, he didn't care. Military didn't rule anymore. The ODST took his helmet off, "We got bogies, we need you up in front, get-" He couldn't finish as a sword plunged through his stomach, a bloody triangular shaped object, still invisible, held him in the air, Taylor rushed to get his helmet on, and ran backwards, even in the small room, he tried to escape the figure approaching him. It revealed itself, an Elite Ultra, even through it's mask, Taylor could see a sinister smile, it swung it's energy sword, sending the ODST's body flying into a wall, Taylor backed away as the elite approached slowly, he shot his Magnum, barely denting the giant's armor. He put his TAC/COMM to his face yelling, "Help! Anyone out there help me please!" He uttered this again and again, and he knew if he couldn't get a weapon soon, he would get killed.

Jacob, already planning to go past the room equipped a Flashbang. Normally, incindiery or flamethrower would do, if not for the fact this building would burn quickly if set alight. Keying his radio, he said two words while counting to three;"Get down".

He then rolled the Flashbang into the room, right in front of the distracted Elite before the radio came with an answer. He moved behind the Elite, the grenade exploded, stunning the elite as Jacobs helmet compensated for the glare, keeping him from the same effect. In the moment of opportunity, he pushed the creature to the floor, grabbing its sword and thrusting it into the heart. He longed to keep his trophy, but a Sword was too heavy alongside his Flanethrower, Grenades, SAW and Pistol. He once again wondered what happened to the knife he equipped to a roped-together mixture if Grenades he had stuck to a wall. Most likely obliterated as several grunts walked past the wire set for them, destroying that pass. Of course, that was in the last base, when Alexandria still existed. He again, wondered back to how the city was. He knew he would most likely die on Reach, when he refused to board a shuttle, letting a family of civilians in instead.

Walking over to the captain, he gave him a hand getting up, asking "You alright? Got a little present for 'ya' in the process.

An explosion.

Ty'd heard a lot of them in the past week, but now, with the majority of Reach engulfed in flames, or turned to glass, any sign of life was welcome.

He came from a small town to the south, and would work in the city. now, it was the only thing left standing in the area, possibly the whole damn planet!

Moving in the shadows of the buildings, he crept toward the building where the noise had originated.

"I hope it's humans.... Oh please be humans for F---'s sake..." He muttered as he ducked down behind a mailbox as yet another Banshee passed overhead.

Taylor was still in shock by the event that just unfolded, he stared the the bulky man in front of him, not knowing what to say, he shook the Hellbringer in front of him's hand. Muttering still in shock, "We... We need to check to look for survivors, we need a way out. More are probably on there way." He notices a large hole, which led to a tunnel. He was familiar with the systems in the building, if they walked through the tunnel long enough, they would find a door, leading to room A43, It was the closest way to the armory. They crouched through the small hole, and rushed through the green water as best they could in their armor. Taylor lifted the Helljumper into the manhole, and they reached the room. Both with weapons held straight, they walked, expecting an Elite to jump out of the darkness. They did this until they reached the Cafeteria. Both troopers stood by the door, Taylor peaked out, he saw an ODST in their, he looked nervous and in pain. Taylor looked closer and noticed another invisible Elite behind the ODST. If he called out the ODST it would give their position away. So he watched as the trooper's head blew open with a hail of Plasma, the Elite immediately uncloaked, as did multiple Special Ops grunts. They stood in formation, Taylor watched the Elite and grunt communicate as the Elite grew angry and Taylor saw firsthand what elites did to those who talked back, he smacked the grunt, sending him flying with a trail of blue blood. The elite snarled and kept moving. Taylor looked at this companion with a nod as he silently shot two grunts in the head. A third watched this unfold as he screamed to his Elite commander, the elite docked his plasma rifle and aimed a Carbine at the ODST, He fired on the elite, sending it slightly backwards, he suddenly ran out of ammo. The elite grunted and aimed at the ODST's face when the roof collapsed on him, burying him in concrete. The ODST looked back at the Hellbringer when suddenly a Hunter dropped down from above, like an earthquake, the Hunter was so close it send Taylor flying into a wall. He watched the Hunter move around, as he dashed behind a turned-over table. The hunter moved like the Elite before him, scavenging, for blood. The hunter turned to see the grunt, left behind from earlier, he smacked the grunt with his shield, completely disintegrating the grunt, blood splattering everywhere. The Hunter looks around quickly again as he turn to a door and smacks it open, leaving the room and walking down a hallway, with the Hunter gone the ODST gets up and he and the Hellbringer move to the Cafeteria's vent, Taylor turns to the Hellbringer and asks, "You coming?".

"Well, that's good and bad..." Ty muttered at the continuing sounds of combat. He kept moving toward the building, staying close to the walls of the buildings he passed. He reached the rear entrance of the building and drew his M6C from his holster, gripping it firmly in his hands.

"Ok..." He sighed. "Just like a normal job..."

He reached down for the door handle, opening it slowly.

"Helloooo? Anyone here? Anyone who doesn't want to kill me?"

[These things are usually past tense, sorry, small grievance]

Before he could fire some fire, the strange ordeal was over. With the hilt of the energy weapon in one hand, he activated it and struck it into a nearby dead hunter, slicing the worms open and letting fluorescent blood trickle on the floor. He made a mental note to burn these bodies at some point, he may be immune to biohazard in his armour, but no one else was. He motioned for the Shock Trooper to keep the blade before moving into the dark hallway. His visor lit up, highlighting the way. He stopped the marine in front, motioning to fall behind him. He dropped a flare on the ground, red light casting on the walls in an eerie, blood like glow. Turning another corner, he saw blood. Lots of it. Bright blue speckled the walls on one side that was pockmarked with bullets. Another was coated in crimson, deep splashes of it that dropped down the walls onto the floor. Turning up the helmet sensors, what he thought was a squad of marines was in fact a group of Civilians crowded round an elavator door. Their bodies were mutiliated by Covenant plasma weaponry, a single Officer lay dead on the floor, plasma rifle in hand with an Army trooper laid on top of it, still clutching a knife Dug deep into the neck. As Jacob rolled the bodies over, he saw the marine had two large scorch marks, no doubt an energy sword wound.

"Sarge, you don't wanna see this. Just don't look at the floor, if you want to be sane at the end of this."

As he waited for the troopers to follow, he fiddled with the elavator controls, hoping for a successful response from the machine.

He then heard a door open behind him. Grabbing the Plasma rifle off the floor, he aimed it at the trooper inside as several light rays cast shadows on the scene. "I.. Wouldn't look. Take my advice. Listen.." He threw the weapon to the floor."Interested in helping us? We're..."

It struck him that he didn't know where they were going.

"Looking around for survivors, I guess."

[if i did it before, it was an accident, I believe about 75% is in fact past tense, I may have missed some, sorry, I will avoid doing it again]

The sight of the bodies disgusted Taylor, he continued on afraid to even look, right behind the Hellbringer. He decided move up in the group a little more, as they searched the area for survivors, he then heard a marine yell, "Ah F*ck!" As he turned, there was a hole in the wall with a bloated, and blue civilian body, with areas of blood stain. The civilian had drowned by an Elite forcibly holding him in the water flow from the nearby river. It was disgusting as holes and bugs riddled along the middle aged man. An ODST called to the squad, "Don't look at it men. Just... Keep moving." in a somber tone. Taylor could hear men throwing up, some having breathing problems, others coughing and screaming from wounds. Even if you were injured, you were lightly patched up and kept moving, to avoid detection. They moved quickly, until they heard an explosion, the tunnel door shot wide open, along with part of the roof, revealing the tunnel to the outside, Taylor yelled in a quiet tone, "****, hug the walls until we are all clear." They walked slowly along remaining tunnel walls, staying silent, all of a sudden a building smacked unto the top, releasing dust and rubble but covering the men from anyone above, Taylor sighed, and muttered, "All clear." They reached a door, they didn't use breach charges because they were low. They knocked it down with a simple two kicks, and opened it, as the walked through it they found three civilians cowering with Skirmishers approaching, they carried Needlers in their hands and forced them into the wall to be executed, the men opened fire killing two. One turned quickly and was hit in the eye, covering his eye, he screeched and jumped using broken pipes, to a hole, which he crawled through. The crew rescued the civilians, and put them under platforms as shelter, all of a sudden, a screech was heard, a screech Taylor recognized all to well, he turned to his men and yelled, "Vampires!!!" as they all ducked for cover a barrage of Plasma bombed the room, leaving only dust, and anyone who moved quick enough. Taylor awoke, about four hours later, around midnight. He turned on his visor and smelt death. He turned to see an arm buried in rubble, he also saw a bracelet on it with the word, Scarlett, inscribed on it. He looked up at the glassed atmosphere and grief striken-ly said, "Damnit..." as he turn to the rock blocking his path, he pushed it aside, and fell to the floor, he took a quick look around and muttered, "Hellbringer? Hellbringer? You there?" Still looking around.

Ashley found herself in a room lying on the ground. she looked around and saw the rest of her squad were all being exacuted by specops elites, whom must've presumed her dead. she saw that after they killed her squad they were sent to find more UNSC or something, and took advantage of this by killing the last one to exit the room with her stanfard issue combat knife. she was very lucky in the fact that the others didnt hear anything, because it wouldve become a 5v1 slaughter. she noticed the dead specops elite's active camo module was still functional and decided it might be smart to take it and see if she could use it. after taking it she thought "how many troops would still be alive in this covie infested city?" knowing that she needed help she exited the building and began looking for some friendly forces.

Jacob heard the calls.

"The names Jacob, if you were wondering" he replied as he pulled the squad leader up. "You're lucky I was here, managed to take down the grunts inbound for you. I cleared the bodies, funeral pire for us, pit for the freakin squids." He continued, looking back toward the fire, still lit. "Where we headed Boss, this areas too dangerous now, we can't hold out. If you have anything, I'm all ears."

Taylor was shaken and surprised at the same time, he expected the Hellbringer to be dead, he was lost, he stared off into space, all he could picture was the explosion right before he blacked out... The fire... How it felt cold and dead that split second, suddenly he snapped out of it, turning back to his new found friend, Jacob. Shaking his head he said to the Hellbringer, "Alright. This building isn't to far from the Chapel of Saint Francis the Fifth, which is occupied by some ODST squads, I know because I visited with my family ten years back, my friend is a priest and an ODST. He can get us out, but the Covvies are probably occupying the tunnels looking for us, so, we take the rooftops." Looking back on Jacob, and nodding, as he picked up his shotgun, dirty, and battered with blood, Covenant and Human. He aimed his shotgun at the door leading to the surface and shot it, climbing up the ladder, his plan is to take the North rooftops, Jacob would take the west rooftops, and meet up with him in the Northwest chapel. Jacob moved along the roof, aiming his shotgun wildly in the air, expecting a banshee or two, but it was absent, no troops on the ground, no banshees, not even fresh covenant debris, nothing, like they had been abandoned on a dead planet. He looked over to his TAC/PAD and it alarmed with flashing yellow, this let him know that it was becoming too radioactive for him, so he turned on his filters, he would run out in mere minutes, so they needed to move fast. He put his hand to his helmet, speaking, "Jacob, Jacob, respond!" No response, not even static, this was bad. He muttered under his breath, "This **** ain't good. I better get to him, fast. I hope to god he has filters on him." as he scurried along rooftops, timing his jumps, making sure not to slip, until he found a jump that was too far, but there was a ladder he could reach, he leaped to the ladder, catching it barely, he tugged on it as it slipped down in a fire of noise, a screech rang out from the rusty ladder as it fell to the floor, he jumped off it, keeping his shotgun handy, as he found a set of stairs leading into a building, he kept his flashlight off, to remain undetected as he walked to the top, there was a balcony, he was weary as he watched a slender jackal uncloak almost right in front of him, he hooked to the right of the door and crouched, he thought he had been detected, but the Jackal was looking the other way as he aimed his carbine forward and walked up, he saw Jacob, and so did the Jackal, he muttered curses as he tried to find a way to save the Hellbringer while remaining undetected, he found a knife on the floor as he rushed toward the jackal. The jackal noticed him, but it was too late, he impaled the Jackal's neck as he jumped unto it, the jackal groaned and screeched as he writhed in pain, trying to get the ODST off of him. Taylor took the knife out and kicked the jackal to the floor, as the Jackal tried to get up the ODST picked up the bird-like creature's beam rifle and plunged it into his stomach, piercing his chest and killing him. Taylor moved forward a little, still trying to get comms on, then static turned on, he thought they were saved until he watched as multiple teams of Special Ops Elites uncloaked on many buildings all of them, holding energy spears or swords in their hands, a strange, silver elite uncloaked, he was bulky, and carried two energy swords, his eyes were also yellow, and he stood at least two feet above the Spec Ops elites around him, he barked out in human language, "On the Blood of out Fathers, on the Blood of ours sons, We SWORE to uphold the covenant! Do NOT Fail me here brothers!" as he Growled and a large cruiser uncloaked only about 20 miles out of Quezon, and began glassing, Taylor muttered, "No." as his radio came back on with the pleas of soldiers and civilians left out there. It horrified him, he turned channels, as he contacted Jacob, "Jacob! Jacob! We're f*cked! Head to the chapel fast!" As he pulled out his shotgun and jumped up a ladder which led to the top of the building, banshees swarmed in as the shot at buildings and anything that moved, Taylor ran for his life. He panted and groaned, he started to bleed from his nose as he kept running, he found the chapel, and he hoped to god Jacob was there, he took the stair way from the top of the chapel down to the altar, as came an all too familiar sound, Mortars.

After almost having his a** kicked by a lone hunter. Joseph decide to look for a place to bunker down for the night and remember seeing a chapel and decide to go there.(hours later) Once he reaches the chapel there was 8 marines 12 civies and a couple 3 ODSTs. After every one has fallen asleep Joseph decides to get a higher view of the area. At the top of the chapel a dead sniper lay in front of him as soon as he ducks a beam shot goes past the man. Picking up the sniper Joseph zooms in and takes the bird brains down. Getting up, Joseph spots a squadron of Elites closing in on the chapel. Sprinting and jumping onto the roof and slides Joseph spots a small group of grunts rendezvousing with the Elite's. Each elite was a Spec Ops nothing special so Joseph easily takes them out with minor set backs. Pulling all of them out of site Joseph makes use of a lighter picked up on the way there and burns the bodies. Half of the lighter fuel was uses up but he still decides to keep it. Reentering the chapel Joseph takes post at the door of were the elites were about to come in at and waits then out of nowhere grunts and jackles explode the other side of the chapel waking everyone up. Every one including the civies start to bombard the covie troops at our front door with bullets and drove them out. As soon as that was over the ODSTs begin pulling out sandbags to place in front as Joseph joins them so does the marines and and civies do. Once the sand bag barrier was complete marines with mortars come out of a corner. Joseph asks "Do you know how to use those" in unison they all smile and say "How hard could it be". Joseph after giving them mathematical and adjustment tips walks away and sleeps for an hour. Waking to a man screaming in my ears "ODST wake up please we are under attack" in reply " I get up and bolt to were the battle was taking place as did other marines and ODST's who joined our ranks in the hour he was asleep. About 10 other marines and 5 other ODST's were running along with him. Jumping over the sand bags Joseph pulls out his SMG takes out 4 elites a few jackles and numerous grunts until he runs out of ammo using a hunter's dead body as cover. As the mortars start to bombard the war zone behind him Joseph puts away his SMG and and pulls out his sniper saying "God if I survive this I am going to take a p**s". Killing about twelve more elites. Joseph throws the sniper at a charging Hunter and pulls out his energy sword goes around him climbs his back and stabs him through the neck. "Well that was easier then last time" he says and bolts back to the chapel to get ammo for his SMG. On the way he collides with an ODST who was apparently just making it the fight and entering the door on the other side of the chapel a Hellbringer.  " ouch sorry didn't mean to do that". Joseph then gets the ammo he needs and charges back into the battle.

Ashley found a place to hide long enough to attempt using the active camo she had taken. after a few hours she figured out how to use it, and realized she'd need it at this rate. she heard banshees and what sounded llike an entire army of covanent not too far away. she decided she would go to where mortars were firing from, which must be a 12 blocks away. she decided engaging at all while alone would be suicide, and began walking towards what sounded like a full on battle. she went around a corner, seeing a few elite minors she barely got past without being seen, even in camo. she saw, after almost 45 minutes, that she was one block away. she went around the next corner, seeing the battle still taking place. she got inside the chapel before she decided to uncloak.

OOC: Since there's only one character allowed, I guess no need to bother with names...but are NPC's allowed in our posts?

IC

Seconds feel like minutes. Minutes feel like hours. Hours feel like days. And days feel like hell.

Conclusion?

Each second was hell.

I feel the hard foot planted on my chest; the Elite who stood on top of me didn't even decide to kill me. No; he'd decided that my pain would be eternal, lasting, and that each and every moment I had left as I lived would be filled with black-red blood blocking out my eyes, my internal organs crushed by my ribs, my arms and legs cut with swords and yet cauterized instantly, vaporizing blood.

Each second was hell, but for the lone Elite who stood on top of me, he obviously didn't expect any resistance from me, and that would be his judging, his final moments, as, even with his foot on my chest, as the blood around my body pumped faster and faster yet received no oxygens from my near-crushed lungs, energy, both from adrenaline and from my stressed-out cells' anaerobic respiration gave forth a surge of power as I somehow managed to pull out my combat knife and dig it in between the 4-jawed freak's two massive toes. The Elite gave forth a garbled, inhuman yell, and I took that as my chance. Pistol in left hand and SMG in right, I brought both of my arms to bear and fired, sprayed, blasted the Elite's chest and head. In a second, there was no head, only bits of flesh and bone as they were shredded by my submachine gun until my entire magazine's ammunition had gone through his body one way or another.

I rolled out of the way just before the body slumped on me, and slowly but surely picked myself up, and, tiredly yet assuredly, started to walk in the direction of the one thing I could call sanctuary - My Falcon.

Just gonna add that both gunners died, so.....yeah. My bad. May their souls rest forever and ever in peace.

[Yay, I am trusted! :D]

The cathedral was swarming with oncoming civilians and marines, injured and battered in blood. Taylor was too busy to try to find Jacob, his mission was to take down anything that could kill refugees in the cathedral. He ran towards some sandbags recently set up, he found a Grenade launched lying on the floor, this looked different from the standard launchers, it had two barrels. He aimed it in the air and noticed Phantoms coming in with Wraiths, he aimed down the scope on his launcher and aimed for the Phantom's eye-like features, he let loose six shots, they were well placed as the phantom plunged forward and crashed into the cathedral. He then noticed something else, his TAC/PAD Turned Orange, which meant radiation was close, he turned behind him and yelled, "GET INTO THE BASEMENT, IT'S RADIOACTIVE UP HERE!" He screamed this at the top of his lungs as he noticed an ODST who had recently entered the Cathedral, he got her attention, "Hey, Lady!" as he tossed a filter to her, he also tossed a filter to another ODST who had fought off quite a wave of Covenant, he yelled,

"Gear up guys, that was only the scouting party, we have cruisers on the other side, we need to stay here and defend those Civilians as long as we can! Helljumper, Helljumper where you been? Feet first into hell then back again! When I die please bury me deep! Fix my MA5 Down by my feet!"

He sung in unison with his fellow ODSTs. He threw his grenade launcher to the side, out of ammo, and pulled out his Shotgun, he turned to the female ODST whom he tossed the filter to and asked, "You ready?" as a Banshee bombed the area, knocking the group on their feet, he saw an ODST, whose helmet was tossed off, it read, "Clancy" he started to run, and Taylor yelled at him, "YOU F*CKING COWARD!" As the ODST Turned and grabbed his neck, he started choking as the radiation killed him from the inside out, Taylor watched this as another ODST picked him off the floor, then as Taylor got up, he was grabbed by something in the neck, he chocked in his helmet, his filter was on, it couldn't be radiation, he was raised about four feet into the air, as the Silver elite uncloaked and scowled at him, saying, "Pathetic humans, they Cower in the dust until their last breaths, that I give them credit for!" as he turn to the human and whispered in his ear, "Let me ask you something, I will kill either you, or that female over there." As taylor yelled, "I always f*cking hated Gators." as he turned around, noticing a gun by the female, if she could spot it, he may be able to get out, as the Elite said, "I guess that means you. Honorable." as he pulls out an energy sword, it plunges into his index finger on his right hand, severing it, Taylor writhed and screamed in pain, he turned as the elite was priming is sword, "Lady (cough), (cough) get the gun, please." As he closed his eyes.

Ashley picked up the gun and opened fire on the elite, she fired an entire clip of the MA5B she had picked up into the elite, and then opened fire with her M6 SOCOM. the elite dropped him and fled when his sheilds were low, avoiding death. she went over to taylor and began helping him up. she asked "you ok?"

Taylor was distraught, he saw the woman's hand holding over to help him up, he took it, saying, "Thanks, I'll need a name later, but for now, we have to take down the covenant, his TAC/PAD Blinked blue, which meant an incoming message, it was close by, it read, "Good Luck Guys, see you on the other side." as he heard a bombing raid begin, some of the remaining UNSC Longswords dropped hails of bombs on the Phantoms closing in, his TAC/PAD Blinked again, another message, saying, "That should buy you some ti-" as the message cuts off. Taylor turns to the woman, "We have to go, now." as he turns his head to a group of ODSTs, one nods his head, saying, "We know what we got to do. We'll get the civilians out of here, at least keep the Covvies busy, to buy them an extra few minutes, good luck Taylor." as Taylor saluted them, they all saluted back, he turned to the ODST again, come on, we have to go. Take this filter, It is my last one, should keep you alive for an extra ten minutes or so. I got about 5 on my countdown, so we better find help." as he turns to a tunnel, wait a minute, we can head down here, it leads to the outskirts, like a shortcut." We need to move now though." As he holsters his Shotgun and runs down the tunnel, as fast as he can go, in about a minute or two of sprinting, they are there. Near the outskirts, they notice a shack up ahead, with a light, "Someone's got electricity." as he runs up there, towards the shack, he hears a large noise as he turns and see the Cathedral collapse in on itself, Taylor stares in shock as he starts to cry, he says whilst crying, "****." as his helmet beeps, only two minutes left on the countdown. He turned again, then turned to his female ODST friend, "C'mon, we're almost there." he tells her as he continues up. Taylor walked in to the shack, the light was left on, he noticed a crate of filters, air bags, and illegal assault rifles, as he explored, it was filled with maps, covenant symbols, and numbers. He then noticed a piece of paper, it said the date of the attack on reach, and next to it the words, "Final Stand." this person knew the Covenant would attack, how, Taylor didn't know. There was then a large poster, it was a map, it showed directions from the shack to a place labeled "escape." in bold letters, he turned to the ODST behind him, "You think we should follow it?"

Taylor turned, "Good idea, let me see if this Insurrectionist stored a sniper here or something."  as he walked around he found a target locator, with charges left on it, it was white and red in color and had an Insurrectionist symbol on it, Taylor muttered, "Well, now I know for sure this guy was an innie. He must still have a freaking missile satellite in orbit." He put it in his backpack, as he continued to walk around, he found a basement, he turned the light on to see rows and rows of Elite skulls hung on the walls, along with Prototype plasma rifles and pistols. He then found a sniper on the wall, and a note. It looked elite written, but in English. It read, "Traitors get what they deserve." as he turned to find the man's dead body, he was in a white coat, and jeans, with a graying beard and aviator glasses, along with an energy sword plunged into his chest. Taylor stared at the body and then turned to grab the sniper, he hunched it on his shoulder, as he walked back up, again glancing at ODST. He goes on to the Porch, to get a clear view, as he sees no oncoming elites, most of them focused on the Chapel and the slaughter below. He got up from his crouched position as he noticed the stars, he never got to see them in combat. They were beautiful, he then looked back toward the small house, as he looked at the ODST again, he spoke through the comms, on a private channel, saying,

"Hey, Recon lady," grabbing her attention, "Grab what you can, we are moving uphill. And while your at it, last one out, turns off the light."

As he smiled to her, walking forward into the forests, as he turned, again glancing at the shack, then the stars, he turned to the ODST and asked, "Hey, do you think anyone else made it up here?"

Quickly going down the tunnel as fast he could with elites following behind Joseph looks at his radiation light. He was still in the area of it. "D**m do they ever give up" Then getting an Idea Joseph uses his only Incendiary grenade on them. When he stops he turns to look at the Elites. One gold walks up and speaks English to Joseph "Giving up human? HA coward I thought your kind believed in Honor." it says. "Ohh we do just not honor that eradicates an entire race. Thats why I am am leaving you this present." Joseph show them the bomb. "Run!!" But they were too late as the bomb hits the ground beneath them they all erupt in a fiery EXPLOSION!! " Shame I had that grenade for years. O'well" Joseph says as he turns to start running again. As he exits the tunnel he sees a shack with lights on. As he approaches a rifle is held up to his face. "Son-of-a-B***h. Can you put that down I am a HUMAN BEING TOO YOU KNOW."

Taylor had his barrel aimed at the marine's head, "Yeah your human, so what makes you different, FNG?" As he looked the man in the eye through the visor, and pulled the gun away, "Saw that explosion, from the shack, I guess our ODST friend over there is lucky she spotted you, boy." as he handed him the rifle, "My name is Taylor, and she is your new BFF. Welcome to hell." as he gestured his hand for the ODST to follow him, they walked up the woods, as Taylor looked at his new ODST Friend, "Ashley. Nice to meet you Ashley."

as he kept walking in the bush filled forests, it would take them a while to get there, plus they would need more filters, luckily, the man marked drop zones, where he placed extra filters. They needed to move though, as they walked in the forest, Taylor's TAC/PAD went off again. It was green, which meant it was safe, though, the further that cruiser got, the more radiated the areas would be, so he decided to walk for an extra mile. The area would probably, if his estimates were right, be radiated at a yellow level, by 10:00am. He knew they could make camp, for a little while, and get rest, the area was thick in the bushes, so Elites wouldn't notice it and grunts didn't have the eyesight for it, Jackals were a concern, but the radiation behind them is at a Red level, so Jackals would die if they set foot it there. They set up two tents, and a campfire, he sat out by the campfire, not concerned about sleep, but concerned for their safety, if he kept guard, and he spotted covenant, he could keep them busy for her and the FNG to escape.

After a while he pulled out a Holo-still image, it was of his Father, memories came back to him, and time became still, as he remembered, his Father's hand, and he remembered a needler going through his chest, he remembered the day, he let his parents die, he took off his helmet as it tumbled over to the tent, he put his hands by his face and started to weep, the pain of his finger, his plasma burns, nothing, hurt him now, accept guilt, as he sat there. He stopped crying and pulled out his magnum, wondering, "Should I fire it?" as he put the cold, unused barrel to his head, his eyes widened, and he looked back, like someone was there... Who?

[You Took on other characters places, that gives you a strike. three strikes and I am afraid you can't post here. ^This Post does not count!^ You can say for example like what I highlighted in Blue, but what is highlighted in red you need to avoid doing. Re-do it when you have the time, for now It doesn't count. Also, me and Tex were up in the shack, you were last seen down in the Cathedrel, neither of us can teleport, so explain how you got there.]

I know thats one of the reasons why I fixed also. Have you noticed that it takes UP to a hour to write long posts

Hearing foot steps Joseph gets up and goes to check it out. Before he goes he stops himself and climbs up the the guy who had his rifle pointed to his helmet visor, and under that his face. Reaching the top he looks around to check for anything. Seeing nothing he turns on his target identification screen. Seeing two Elites Joseph climbs down to tell rifle-man " Its two elite cloaked in there active camo what should we do. You are our leader....I think?"

"Oh, it's you. FNG... Damn elites." As he got up with a sigh, saying, "Don't worry, f*ckin' radiation ought to kill them before we have to." He turned, again looking at Ashley's tent. "Hey, check up on her would ya?" he said as he turned his head, "I'll keep an eye on the elites." as he climbed up to a perch and pulled out his sniper rifle. He watched the elites move through the scope, as one uncloaked, he held a Recon helmet in his hand, Taylor's eyes widened as he called out in the loudest voice he could below him, "Rook! Rook! Is she in there?''

Ashley woke up with restraints on her arms, and an elite holding her helmet. she instantly thought "so this is how im gonna be killed? executed? i couldnt even help people survive reach... this city... we're all doomed." she just sat in silence, going over what was happening in her mind over and over. she started to hate the fact that she couldnt even help her home planet, let alone survive to remember it. she was wondering next why she was still alive. she wished that she could at least fight back right now.
