Hey guys, I recently made a map marker pack for all you Forgers out there.

NOTE:  My mic was having problems when I recorded the video. As a result, the audio is quite weak.

I'm going to start off by making you take a look at two screenshots.

Now, which screenshot tells you more about the map?
I don't know about you, but for me, it's the second one. All because spawns, flags, and weapons have been marked instead of a plain overview shot.
 
That's basically what this Map Marker Pack is. It's a collection of PNG images that you can edit into your map's overview screenshot.
 
What's in the download?
 
- The complete set of weapons from all races.
- All vehicles.
- All the icons for all gametypes.
- A blue and red flag marker.
- A blue and red spawn marker.
- My preferred fonts when making a title picture of the map.
 
I made this because it matters to me if a map post looks good or not. I know that most forgers don't care about this but I made this for those that do.

UPDATE
 

Gentlemen, ladies, lamps. I'm happy to present to you the third version of my Map Marker Pack.

 
What's new in V3?
 
- There are now markers for Overshield, Damage Boost, and Speed Boost.
- I added a LOT more spawn markers for competitive maps.
- There are now Flood and Human spawn markers.
- There are new gametype icon styles.
- There are new vehicle and weapon marker styles.
- I removed all shadows in the Weapons and Vehicles Markers.
- Markers for Rocket Hogs and Gauss Hogs.

This looks really good! It would help out a lot, especially for competitive maps based around multiple game modes :P

 

Do you think there's a way you could do gametype-specificity markers?

 

Like what exactly?

This is really a fantastic idea and all map makers should use this when marking their map for callouts and spawns

All I would recommend is Shade Turrets and Rocket/ Guass 'Hogs. Other than that, It's good!

 

Shade turrets are there. But I may have difficulty with the Rocket and Gauss Hogs. The source images I used come from Waypoint and so far, there's no image for the other two Warthogs. But I'll try to come up with something.

My mistake, i didn't realise it was under 'weapons'

Alright. I found images for the Rocket and Gauss Hog. So you can expect them in the v3.

UPDATE

 

V3 will have the following

 

- A lot more initial spawn markers

- A new weapon and vehicle marker pack

- Gauss Hog and Rocket Hog markers

- Markers for Overshield, Damage Boost, Speed Boost

 

I'm currently trying to add initial spawn markers for Flood mode.

 

* If anyone has any further suggestions, let me know so that I can look into it before releasing V3.
