Assault rifle vs DMR

You can actually get some pretty good distance with the AR/Storm Rifle if you are smart about it.

*Fire in short controlled bursts

*Aim for the TORSO

*Use frag grenades to complement it

That being said if you find yourself going up against a DMR/BR user then you are likely to die anyway. That's the way it was designed to be. I suggest using the Firepower package and having a AR primary with a DMR/BR secondary. That way your loadout will cover all scenarios.

As said above in multiple posts, you should only use the AR in close quarters combat. I personally do not recommend it as a primary in offensive situations. This would include trying to press into the other teams territory or rushing in at an objective. I find the AR most effective in defensive positions or holding key objectives. I would recommend doing this in indoor areas with limited space to primarily "trap"other players. But if you find yourself in a mid range engagement with someone with a DMR, your best chance is to retreat before you take to much damage. if they pursue, you can draw them into a more confined area and better even the odds

I use assault rifles and I never can win a fight against a DMR user. This gun has advantage by far and medium distance and AR just close. What make then?

This isn't COD, the AR isn't supposed to be good. They keep buffing it because but its still pretty crappy and should stay that way. Just grab the DMR/BR/Lightrifle and actually play Halo.

I actually like using the AR a lot in some CQC maps like Adrift and sometimes Haven. Mostly because I am more strategic in my kills than I am skilled at killing.
