Halo Wars Strategy Share....

Fail Master

Recommended Posts

Share all your well know strategies here!!! I for one know how to get Grizzleys or Vultures out in about 10 mins. On the right map i can also get dual scarabs out in about the same time.

I'm not going to publish how i do it untill other people publish their strategies ;)

don't forget to like peoples strategies and improve them if they don' work for you.

There's no master strategy that's unbeatable. It all depends on the scenario, map, and characters on the other team. Vultures is a tough one, but Grizzlies can be done by power farming and making two reactors. Even then, it will be hard to sustain such an economy if the enemy team is pressuring you.

generally the enemy arn't thinking about presuring you in the first 10 minuts.

Earlier i had a full 6 vultures out in 12 minutes with only 2 bases, one of which i didnt build untill 10 minutes in. By 5 minutes i had quad reactors and was just starting to build my first vulture.

My walk through:

Strategy: VULTURE/GRIZZELY RUSH

Leader: Forge

Ideal map: Fort Deen (but it will work on the others pretty much equally)

key:

Build

Upgrade

Train

Research

DONT DO

1) build 3 supply pads and send warthod out to scout resources

2) when you can, build a fourth supply pad and a reactor

3) upgrade to fortress

4) build a second reactor and a vehicle depot/air pad

5) Upgrade reactors when you have the resorces (do not build anything yet!)

6) (Grizzely): upgrade to canister shell (Vulture): train a Vulture

7) (Grizzely): keep upgrading untill you have researched Grizzely (Vulture): build vultures untill population max and upgrade to Mega barrage

8) Build a second base with a field armoury and supply pads and one barracks

9) (Grizzely): Train Grizzelies untill population max (vulture): Research Reinforcements and build extra vulture

10) Train Spartans (vulture): build 2 Hornets (putting spartans in them is optional. Both have Pros and cons.)

11) Wait untill allies have armies, while you are waiting, spend spare resorces on Turrets, Carpet bomb upgrades, adrenaline etc... If you do not wish to wait skip to step 13....

12) signal allies to attack bases with their units.

13) Search and destroy :diablo: :pwned: REMEMBER: To get maximum points, destroy base buildings before destroying the base. If your allies are also attcking the same base and not bothering about the surrounding buildings, Caniter shell/ Mega barrage and carpet bomb to destroy the base before your ally.

Chieftain Boom/Rush

1. build 1 supply pad, a temple then another supply pad.

2. send chopper to get crates.

3. Send Chieftain to get crates, but make sure hes on his way to the enemy base, put him just outside the enemy base (so they cant see him, or accidentally get seen by a hog or ghost). Upgrade supply pads.

4. build another supply pad and a hall, upgrade all supply pads before getting any units out.

5. train some brutes, hunters and jackals depending on what they have and put them in the teleporter to your leader.

6. attack, but be smart and don't just go for the main structure, take out unit-training buildings first and reactors.

7. Keep spamming out units into the teleporter.

This is hard to defeat on 1v1, but on 3v3 make sure you have back up if all three of the enemy counter rush you.

My tactic is to clear out the surrounding area of the base and then get a base quite far away as a backup base.

Also i try to control all of the garrisonable structures to have a lot of bonuses.

I assemble one main army made up of heavy armor, warthogs and infantry.

Before I send the main army to an enemy base, i make a small branch of infantry and a warthog.

I send a group of scouts (hornets or warthogs) to the enemy base and while theyre there i transport my small branch of infantry and warthog

there to soften them up while the big group travels there.

Rinse and repeat for other bases!

The quickest way to do a hornet rush :

Build 4 supply pads. then one reactor then upgrade it build a barracks (so spartans can get in the hornets) and build a air pad and start training!

i think instead of building a barracks just build the two air pads and just build. i can say from experience. the barracks will slow u down alot. the brracks would be nice to do with a vehicle depot.

quickest way to get cobras or wolverines.

1.build four supply pads(first make two with an extra warthog tht u build at the beggining)

2.build a reactor don't upgrade anything

3. colloect with ur warthogs and when u have enough upgrade the reactor

4.then make a another reactor

5. then make a vehicle depot

6.it seems like alot but i've done this in like five minutes into a game with only one base.

if you do it right. i suggest you make the cobras and lock them down at the side of you base(make like six)

with the wolverines take out another base an make another reactor(it's cheaper to make the reactors single than to upgrade them.

also on ur base make ur front turrets anti-vehicle and ur back turrets anit air.

from there u can do whatever u please great base protection.

u can do with anyone you want but forge is recommended.

This is my tactic, I swear by it.

Using Anders I build

Three supply pads

Reactor

Barracks

Build three Spartans, then upgrade supply pads.

Using the Spartans go rebel killing, upgrade to fortress and build another two supply pads. Upgrade reactor and then take a second base.

On the second base build a reactor and two vehicle depots, build three cobras and upgrade their first ability. Put the Spartans in the cobras and build five wolverines, upgrade to fortress and put two supply pads, air pad and a field armoury.

what get you more resorces quicker?

build temple

two ware house

upgrade 1st ware house while second is building

build 3rd while second is building.

upgrade 2nd while 3rd is building.

build 4th while 3rd is building.

upgrade 3rd while 4th is building

upgrad 4th

or

just build them all first and upgrade when you get the resorces.

at first i thougt the top was faster, but now that i try both i seems hard to tell which is better.

Am I the only person that doesn't rush on this game? I like 30 mins to get ready and have a FAIR and even match. I take a while getting prepared so I quit when rushed by more than two warthogs.

Rushes are fair, not all of them but pretty much all of them. The only one I don't really like is the Arbiter and the Suicide Grunts. If you know a rush is coming then you can counter it, that's the beauty in Halo Wars: there's always a fighting chance. If you see warthogs coming at you then turtle up:

Build Railgun Turrets in the back of the base while locked up and pump out your leader's Unique Unit and use their leader power (If you're a human). Or lock up, build Fuel Rods in the back and build your supply and leader power them while making grunts (As Covenant of course).

Me and My Friends define a rush in this game as an attack before the six min mark.

i have a full pop cap at around 10 min mark. because i always build units first upgrade second, that way i can defend my self. in fact if you cant have a full army up by the 13 min mark i would go so far as to tell you that your are bad at the game. play around with different builds and always try for speed. if your not attacking until the 30 min mark you are giving the enemy team a huge advantage!

regardless of my other point if most rushes are defendable without the help of your teammates unless your being attacked by multipal people.

if attacked by the cheiftan or the profit before 5 min mark, five flamethrowers will win as long as they attack together.

if rushed by infintry build flamethrowers.

if by vehicals or air build turets on the far side of the base so that they don't see the turret but it can still shoot them.

basicaly you need to be able to defend yourself, and you need to learn to make units quicker. there seems to be alot of room to up you game. good luck.

best thing to do is watch any genreals on your team and try to learn from them.

Well, anything heavier than a couple warthogs is no longer a scout run to me. But if there's a rush happening that isn't three Spartans in special vehicles, I have more respect but three spartan scorpions is way to OP in the first few minutes, and that is all I ever get.
