(01 August 2015 - 06:46 AM)H2 for the most part you can have a BR or Carbine at all times, with a plasma pistol (but a sniper weapon is actually PREFERABLE to a plasma pistol under almost all circumstances in H2, even for fighting Elites) but sometimes you need something else for situational reasons.
(01 August 2015 - 06:45 AM)Yeah, CE I usually have a pistol on me at all times, though my other weapon is EXTREMELY variable due to CE forcing you to mix things up quite a bit. And there are a few occasions (all of TaR, bits of later levels) where I won't use a pistol even given the chance to because of a situational requirement.
(01 August 2015 - 06:43 AM)@Axilus Prime Very true, but that's generally what I aim to have. Something precise and something to strip shields, dropping the latter if I can get something really powerful
(01 August 2015 - 06:40 AM)@Axilus Prime CE is just pistol and plasma pistol, H2 is BR and plasma pistol, H3 is BR and whatever else is available. Even H4 is generally precision and power weapon, it's really only Knights that I'll specifically go to automatics for
(01 August 2015 - 06:35 AM)@Axilus Prime Honestly, I'm much more likely to get killed if I try and hang back and just tap them to death with precision weapons. Maybe I'm just unusually good with automatics, but the only time I ever have issues with getting killed is if I mess up really hard with my positioning or get jumped by an enemy I haven;t noticed. Even with the Suppressor, which is a total piece of crap
(01 August 2015 - 06:33 AM)Eh, they typically don't despawn before I can collect them with my method either. I guess I just kill them unusually fast with precision weapons. Automatics certainly give you a faster TTK, even if you do aim like I do or better, but it's a lot more risky and my strategies are always designed to win without dying. If I die, it's because I messed up the execution.
(01 August 2015 - 06:31 AM)@Axilus Prime That's the thing, I have real trouble hitting that on a first try so I have to resort to spamming, and that slows my TTK to down quite a bit, when precision weapons already seem a little slower than automatics. Getting up close is definitely riskier, but it's much faster and more reliable, plus you don't need to worry about weapons despawning before you can collect them
(01 August 2015 - 06:29 AM)@RedStarRocket91 Oh, that? That's not a hit registration error. When a Knight's shield is down, his faceplate will intermittently open and close. Only when it is open, when the glowing "skull" is visible, can you headshot him. I get around this by simply spamming at the head. Usually that means I'll get the headshot in 3 shots or less.
